Late-year fun times

You know what book series I love? You will. I'm currently reading 'The hand of Chaos', the fifth book in the Death Gate Cycle, by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. If you've read it, no spoilers plz. (I started it when I was a kid, and only now that I'm older do I actually have the chance to finish the series. Or read more than one book in it

I want a short story about a retired rogue contemplating a lifetime of thievery and conniving. Gazing out over their great mound of material stuff. A dragon need not be involved, but a mage should be. A mage who could, perhaps, make the rogue have to steal the same thing multiple times.

I think it would be a good story.

Death Gate! Good series. But then again, I like pretty much anything by Weis & Hickman, so I guess that doesn't mean a whole lot.
