Eleventh Shot

[Backdated to a few weeks ago, shortly after CONCORDANCE and the relocation to hotels and such.]Bullet was pacing around in front of the room that he had been assigned to. Since he saw the relocation assignments, he had been making a conscious effort to avoid seeing Kusuha, but there was only so much you could avoid a roommate who you were dating.

Of course, he also said that aloud to Kusuha who had just walked in behind him.

"Um..."

She seems a little taken aback.

Bullet heard a voice and turned around. "Oh, Kusuha!" Suddenly he realized what he said aloud. "OH! NO! I-It's not what it sounds like!! I mean, I'm thrilled to be in the same room as you! Ecstatic! I couldn't have asked for a better person to room with! I can't wait! Ahahaha!!" He laughed like a nervous idiot for a good 30 seconds before realizing how stupid he looked

Kusuha doesn't know what to say to most of that, but she just decides to...ignore Bullet's stumbling and just take his sentiment. It was a good intention, like always.

"Um...Bullet...thank you," she says in reply. "And um...I-I'm sorry that things had to happen so suddenly, and that anything made you uncomfortable, but..."

She swallows, and steps closer, taking his hand. "I-I don't...I trust you, and I know you won't do anything to hurt me, s-so it's okay."

She smiles through her blush, which is approaching levels useful for emergency lighting. "Um, but we should work out a schedule or something for while we're here, just to avoid accidents."

After the words 'I trust you,' Bullet kind of nodded stupidly in a dreamlike haze. Yeah. This was what heaven was like... Whatever Kusuha was saying, it sure sounded pretty when she said it.

"Uh, r-right! Let's do that then!" He fumbled out when he realized she had stopped talking, just hoping that she wouldn't catch him.
