And I think I may well have to find that book, not only for the nerdy humour but the cosmic quandaries. Cosmic quandaries are fun.

I really highly recommend it. Coming at it from a complete lack of science background, it's been informative and fascinating without being completely over my head. It's a series of essays organized by general theme, so it's easy to put down and then pick back up a while later without a need to reread anything.

I commute right now so I alternate between catching up on all the classic books I never had a reason to read (I'm on The Picture of Dorian Gray right now) and this book. It's a strange combination, but I like it.
