It is an unalterable fact of life--once you have more than one child, you're late for EVERYTHING. No matter how well you plan, no matter how you THINK everything is going according to schedule, it's not. You exist in a time warp only other parents can understand. That's just the way it is. Wait until they're teenagers--it gets WORSE!! But by then you're aware of the time warp and struggling to thwart it--but you can't. Not until they're all grown. Even then, the warp holds on. You're so used to it being there that you're not even aware it still has you in its clutches. Probably somewhere around 50, it lets you go and then you're on time for most things--then a NEW time warp hits when you're 60 but this time in the opposite direction. You're EARLY for everything.
