Aww, like it. A bit worried that Emmeline is willing to wander around with strange men all afternoon, but still. And I'm intrigued as to which of his former regenerations she was there with.

I rather love this. The name 'Jack' was a nice touch. Of course, now I'm bubbling with questions, like whether Emmeline was destroyed with the rest of Gallifrey in the Time War. (I don't really understand that to begin with, though. I would imagine that even if most of the Gallifreyans came home to help fight the war, there'd be some still travelling the way the Doctor does, especially if a couple of Daleks survived, too. So he really shouldn't be the last at all, or at least that's what I choose to believe. Anyway.) But yeah, this really was lovely. Very touching. Kind of sad. So basically, like all of the new series.

Aww, I'm so glad you liked it. :)

I'm not sure what happened to Emmeline, either . . . guess we'll just have to speculate. ;) I'm with you that I can't believe the Doctor is the very last Time Lord/Gallifreyan, but it does make it very sad that he, at least, believes that. Oh, Doctor.

Hee. The spoiler warning is really for only one line in "Fear Her," but it is a line that made Rose, and most of fandom, sit up and go, "wait . . . what?". :)

Oh that is perfect and heartbreaking and lovely.

And her name is Em. That just works for me, for some reason. And the Doctor (the 1st!) raising his daughter with the edict that it's okay to wander off and Ten's lovely sadness at allowing that, after having centuries to think about it and oh.

Yes.

Lovely.

I adore cotton candy, even though I rarely have it, maybe one every three years. You have it have it at a fair, it's a law or something.

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it. So very glad. :)

Coming up with a name was hard, because it seemed like nothing I could come up with would be right. But Em worked for me, and I'm happy it worked for you, too.

As a teacher/sane person, it was hard for me to justify having a four year old wander off by herself, and then with a strange man, but then it did seem like something a not-so-experienced Doctor might do because he thought at least it would keep her out of the direct line of fire. Oh, Doctor. (Besides, in my canon of the story, she recognized something in him, though she didn't know what it was, which helps assuage my guilt. *g*)

Hee. I actually have no problem with cotton candy at all. It just sort of came out of the Doctor. Poor Doctor, what he's missing out on. And I do think that law's on the books somewhere . . .

Anyway, thanks again!

Well, Gallifreyans are natural telepaths, so perhaps he figured that she'd gravitate to safe people.

This is a lovely, sad little story!

Oh, that's nice. That works well for me, doesn't it? :)

And thank you so much for the feedback. I appreciate it. :)
