You can feel it in the air

Dear Diary,

Do you ever get the feeling as you pick up the phone that something big has happened?

I was having lunch at home today when the phone rang and I felt the air shift. It's like yesterday when I was feeling the positive effects of Mars getting ready to enter Leo. (It's getting close and I'm really excited...) The air tastes different and you can actually be nourished by good energy in the atmosphere.

Anyway, I didn't recognize the phone number but I knew it was important. I put my soup down, shut off the TV, and stood up to answer the phone.

"Hello, Elisha... You don't know me but..."

I could be a tease and leave it there, because "You don't know me but," pretty much ALWAYS means something juicy is about to happen and I know the suspense is beginning to well all up in yo throat. But I'll go on.

A colleague's referral has gotten me close to getting a job I had all but given up on a few weeks ago. Except... Instead of the recruiter position I had originally applied for, they are considering me for a managerial position. Benefits, yall!!! (And a significant increase in pay from the recruiter job). I spoke to a coordinator for the program today who had me forward my resume to the regional director. THEN I spoke to my colleague, who said they really liked me over the phone. I asked him if he thought my age would be a hindrance because from the description there's a lot of responsibility, but he was a national coordinator for the program and thinks it's the perfect organization for young people. How excited would I be to wake up and go to a job I actually CARE about?

More on this later because I can't sit still from the excitement.
