An awful lot (maybe even most) of the brands of maple syrup I see in the super-market or the Whole Foods or the food coop here in Massachusetts are certified kosher. To get the most maple-y flavor, look for Grade B maple syrup - the weird thing is that maple syrup gradings assume that an unassertive flavor is better, so Grade A syrup is less mapley than Grade B. That said, there isn't much difference between brands; they're all going to be good. It's maple syrup after all!
I favor McLure's maple syrup, which is heckshered, but even a store brand is fine--trees are trees. I second the grade B suggestion, though it's hard to find (and a bit more expensive). I can find McLure's in the supermarket.
If you go to a sugar house and inquire regarding their production methods, you can probably do a self-determination if they'd pass as kosher. This probably wouldn't do for a gift, though.
