This is how I've always felt too. In fact, I've always thought he's a bit of a douche in general. But I still love him. In fact, if he was perfect, I'd probably hate him. He has to be a bit of a douche because he's the LEADER in a WAR. Being nice all the time isn't gonna get him very far.

Exactly! He can't be nice all the time, even to his own troops. He can still be a kickass leader and care about his Autobots, but in the end he has to be ruthless sometimes. And if he was robo-Jesus and coddled the hell out of everyone, he couldn't do that.

And I gotta agree with you there. If he was perfect, he'd be an awful character. Those touches of douchebaggery make him more likeable.
