Alaska Bound

So we are finally moving back home. I have a start date of July 10th but we are driving so going to leave right after Ben graduates. We are in panic mode as we've got a lot to do but we've started so hopefully we can get things squared away. We aren't bothering with putting the house on the market till May at the earliest. We'll just be stuck

Oh wow, how exciting!! :D Where in Alaska are you moving to? When you are back, we'll have to meet up for coffee or something at some point! (Okay, yes, I realize it could be like Homer or something, but it's still closer than anywhere not in Alaska. XD)

Moving to Alaska or moving back from Alaska?

Moving back TO Alaska. I'm from Alaska but left to join the military once upon a day and then met my husband and it's been 20 + years of us trying to get to move back but there was always something in the way. But we are all set now other than packing up and hitting the road. Jobs, kids, it's all good now. Can not wait. One of our boys has been up there going to college for the past three years and being separated has been tough. We've all missed him. He only traveled home the first year for the holidays but after that he's had jobs that prevented him. My family has been waiting impatiently as they are all still there as well.

Alaska was a place me and my mom always wanted to see but never got to do.

Congratulations on college and on getting to move back to Alaska. My husband lived there for a while (army brat) and he said it was his favorite place they ever lived. It looks beautiful, if extremely cold. ENJOY!! I'm happy for you.
