Federer reigns

Just saw Federer win the Wimbledon for the third consecutive time. This man is God. It is total bliss to watch him wield the tennis racquet. I would pay anything to watch him at Wimbledon (live from the stands ofcourse). He might end up as the greatest to have ever played tennis. And yes, he is just 3 months older than me.

IMHO Hewitt and Roddick are not mentally prepared to play against him. They surrendered to him cheaply in straight sets where keifer took him to the fourth set. My opinion abt wimbledon

Me too thinks they weren't mentally prepared to face Federer, that too after all the hidings they have received from him. The person most likely to upset Federer's apple-cart at Wimbledon might be a non-descript tennis journeyman who has nothing to lose.

No one can match Sampras sprasanna199 July 11 2005, 13:29:07 UTC
Even though Federer won three grand slams, there were hardly few good players in Grass court today than during the days of Sampras where there were tough guys like Goran, Becker, Rafter, etc.

I still believe that Sampras is the best ever grass court player as he had more tougher opponents than Federer now.

Sampras was a grass court God, no doubt about that. But he just did not have an allround game. I have always felt that his backhand was a bit suspect. Sampras had a strong serve/volley game which almost guarantees success at Wimbledon. Federer has a superb all court game and to win Wimbledon without a big booming serve, you have to be great.

I think Andy Roddick, Hewitt are tough enough opponents. Federer would raise his game if needed.
