i was talking to my sister last night over skype. she's currently recovering from her 3-week lunar new year vacation during which she went to vietnam and cambodia. she took a motorcycle tour through parts of vietnam and her guide pointed out places where agent orange and napalm were dropped during the vietnam war. the reason he could do this ( Read more... ) -
snow!!!!!
it's finally snowed and stuck in nyc! my friend kristin and i went out on our lunch hour and built a snowman. he looked like charlie brown, so we built snoopy for him to hang out with. then we stopped a very nice albanian woman who took our picture. i'll post it if she remembers to email it to me. *fingers crossed ( Read more... ) -
lunar eclipse
i was walking out of the show "spring awakening" last night right as the lunar eclipse was happening. i (loudly) pointed it out to the friend i was with and everyone around me looked up, too. it was really neat to see a small group of people looking up and pointing while others just kept walking. they didn't even realize it was happening ( Read more... ) -

during an effort to take in the rare 65 degree weather today at lunch, i spotted p. diddy (etc.) he was on the phone talking about the new season of "making the band" (or whatever his show is called.)
