THE BLACK PARADE Welcome to the Black Parade is the most important resource, but the ENTIRE album is relevant. It's a fantastic album anyway, I bought it for less than £5 on amazon.

But then, after a while… it wasn’t so bad. I found a place where I could kind of belong, and I met Toro and Brian and Bob and Mikey… and you. And I figure… if I was in Hell, falling in love shouldn’t really be in the cards, should it?
So after that, I started thinking-okay, maybe this place isn’t anything I ever heard about in school or church. But then again, maybe it is. Maybe this is Purgatory. And I always had the idea that Purgatory was kind of like prison, y’know, you gotta serve your sentence and the only thing that’s gonna get you out quicker is good behavior or having friends in high places. But maybe-maybe you don’t have to just sit around waiting for someone to tell you your sentence is up. Maybe Purgatory ends when you get yourself out of it.”
I am completely biased, because I was a beta for this podfic, but I think it's lovely and magic. It takes the Black Parade universe and creates something really dynamic.
argentumlupine has taken on a really difficult story and has brought it to life amazingly well. I particularly love how distinct and interesting she makes her voices. The music clips work well as chapter dividers, and her pacing is excellent. I think this podfic can be appreciated without Black Parade knowledge, and it can be read as just a very interesting AU, but I love the layers of meaning created by linking it to the song lyrics and the videos’ aesthetic. Famous Last Words is not so secretly my favourite MCR song off Black Parade and visualising the band's performance from the video superimposed on the dramatic scene in the fic creates a whole new level of dynamism. (Also, poor Bob really did catch on fire).
DANGER DAYS: THE TRUE LIVES OF THE FABULOUS KILLJOYS - Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) AND Sing
The album that reignited a fandom and created a whole new generation of fans. It was very convenient for me, I got into the fandom completely separate from the music, but when I went searching for music this album was very new and had shiny videos. Again, MCR's visual aesthetics are incredibly inspirational. Whereas, the Black Parade was very monochrome and I suppose in a way limiting, Killjoys is an EXPLOSION of colour and ideas.

Hilarious and brilliant! There are not enough words in the universe to explain how AMAZING MCR as a HP tribute band is. Despite the delightful comic premise, the serious issues are never shied away from and both podfic versions capture both emotional tones.

Hilarious and brilliant! There are not enough words in the universe to explain how AMAZING MCR as a HP tribute band is. Despite the delightful comic premise, the serious issues are never shied away from and both podfic versions capture both emotional tones.
