  • Read some comics I had unearthed & was desperately seeking
  • Figured out how to delete empty notebooks from Evernote (after figuring out how to add notes to notebooks ( Read more... )

I've previously made the conscious decision to use certain tools that are easier for me

I wish I could figure out how to impart this wisdom to my child who has his own cognitive challenges and is wholly resistant to finding tools that will suit his needs.

I'm glad you've found things that work with your brains.

Thanks for the support, Wex!

If you want me to come over & brainstorm with him, it IS one of my strong suits... Frequently when I'm working with my ADHD clients or with my Internet Security clients, I ask, "What are you doing that works for you already? Let's start from that."

Thank you for the offer. I will keep it in mind. I think we (his family and him) need first to overcome his unwillingness to try ANY sort of mechanism. Just getting him to record what needs doing is a major hurdle we've been unable to overcome. After that we can worry about organizing and reminding and such.

ETA: What I mean to say is that he's doing nothing and refusing to acknowledge that his doing nothing is itself part of the problem.
