the ignition is just as liable to break as any other part of the car. last year mum had to get the whole clutch assembly in her car replaced. oh adn as for warnings, there are some things which arent actually mechanical as such. like not letting the mat get caught under the pedals and closing the petrol hatch thing properly and other such things. those sorts of things can cause things that feel mechanical but can be fixed in a few seconds by doing common sense things. very common mistakes to look out for. ive been subject to a few of them.
oh and always carry a spare key in your handbag or whatever you carry. having to call the racq out to get your key out of your car is embarressing and time-wasting. tho if you say you're a young female on your own (without meanign to patronise or anything) they come out quicker. very useful
and im lucky with my mechanic too. he's my uncle lol

by the way: no thanks to any of you out there for forewarning me about the dangers of car ownership.

Sorry - but, would you have believed us if we'd told you? I know I'd never have really understood until I experienced it for myself...

I would have communicated my woes much earlier if I knew you were buying a car. I've said it before and I'll say it again; car ownership is a liabiity, not an asset!

You're not in your late twenties until you're 29.5 which means I have six months and two days until I'm in my late twenties.

HBTY for Monday.
