I've had an interesting few days.  The first past of the week I felt like I didn't stop to take a breath, and then the second part was much more chilled but I'm still pretty shattered.

Paul's best mate Jeroen was up during the week so we had a couple of nice evenings after work.  Wednesday night we went into town to a gig the King's College London ( Read more... )

I was wondering whether you had any details on the part Turin Brakes played at that gig? Was it a Tom McRae Hotel Café Tour thing? Do you remember what songs they played? I'd love to know for my website (www.turin-brakes.com)... Thanks!

Yes it was the Hotel Cafe tour, but I don't think they are regular special guests from the way they were announced. They only did two songs while I was there - the first I didn't know, the second was Painkiller. They came back on to do another song later but sadly I'd left by then!

Oooooh. That gig sounds awesome! I saw Turin Brakes last November at... oh, where was it. The Forum in Kentish Town! They were very very good.

And I am rapt with attention at hair talk! That sounds sarcastic, but really, I am a huge girl at times. I'm probably going to dye my hair tonight, with my £5 a box Feria, because I simply cannot justify having a hairdresser do it with the price difference! And I'm quite good at it after 5 years of reddifying. It needs a cut, but I'm not sure what I want to do with it. The styles I like the look of would drive me mad trying to style it to not look like crap, and having a fringe would also drive me to distraction. I end up having really boring hair as a result - tied in a ponytail almost all the time, except when I go out, when I straighten it. We will be needing pictures of your hair!

Could the headaches be linked to the Rentokil fumes? Even a squirt or two of bleach makes me feel revolting and I have to open all the windows, so I can't imagine what it's like trying to deal with a fumigated kitchen...

You poor thing! That's horrific. We had a mouse in the house in Bow and that freaked me out a lot.
Gig sounds amazing.
Sorry to hear about the headaches - you're probably right, it is the pressure thing - and also maybe a bit of stress over the cockroaches?
SOOOOO exctied about the hair. All my blonde friends are going dark at the minute. Pics?
