Old gift bags.... uses?

Mar 08, 2010 21:55

Hey everyone...

This may seem odd but does anyone have suggestions on uses for old pretty gift and shopping bags? I have a ton from several stores and gifts that I like. I don't really wanna throw them away if I can find a good use for them.

Any suggestions?

I always re-gift gift bags. Saves me from buying my own. :B

If you want to do something different than that though... you can cut them up and use them as book covers... make them into backgrounds for framed photos... fill them with potpourri... or just use them for general storage around the house.

Pretend you're Japanese and use them as your shopping bags and purses. They're so much nicer to use as eco-bags when shopping for Not!Groceries. Like books and CDs and stuff. Or hell, still get your groceries in them and then walk out of the grocery store like you're walking out of a Sex and the City scene. :D

I finally gave up and threw most of them out. I use them as packaging fluff, though, for some people. ;)

Re: bags. I used some as shopping bags, as they were nice and sturdy. I also think I cut a couple of them up and used them as wrapping material for birthday presents. A few went off as wrapping for Takarazuka items I sold, to give it that extra authentic local flavor. =) But if you really want to have some fun and make a nice durable memento, you can also cut them up and weave them into something.
