Chapter 1
"Oi, Ashley..." A lump in the covers grunted as Kyoko poked at it.
"OI!" She threw a pillow at the sleeping mass.
"Hmph?" Ashley woke with a start.
"Next time, I'm going to drown you with the water from your goldfish bowl." Kyoko threatened.
"Ehh?! Why d'you have to be so violent for?!"
"Fine, I'll drown you in milk and make you cereal." Ashley shrugged.
"Whatever, still violent, not to mention cannibalistic, but it'll have to do. Oh, and thanks so much for ruining my dream." Kyoko rolled her eyes.
"Who was it this time? Future husband or current boyfriend?" Ashley pushed Kyoko off the edge of the bed and landed with a loud thump.
"ITTAI! It was an honest question!"
"Which I don't need to answer." With that, Ashley jumped from her bed and began gathering her bathroom things.
"Ne, how long are you staying?" She asked. Kyoko shrugged.
"I dunno. They were fighting a ot when I left. Didn't even notice that I was gone."
"Well, just remember, I'm always open to have a roomie. Just don't touch the gold-- UWAA!" Ashley, who was manuevering her way to Kyoko, tripped over the garbage bin and fell flat on her face, everything she carried flew out of her hands and landed in multiple thuds across the floor.
"Now that just made my day." Kyoko chuckled.
"Shut. It." Kyoko grinned as she picked off a pair of monkey-decorated underwear that had landed on Ashley's head.
"Give me that!" Ashley had gotten up and grabbed the underwear from Kyoko's hands.
"Anyways, I'm just gonna take a shower. Do what you want, just try not to make a mess." Kyoko looked around-- Clothes were strewn across the floor, the bed sheets were in a heap, the garbage bin was knocked down, not to mention the empty yogurt cup in the far corner of the room.
"Erm, I don't think it'll make much of a difference if I made a mess."
"Shut up! Anywho, I'll be back!" But just as Ashley was about to go out the door, the phone rang.
"UWAA!" Ashley jumped, all of her things dropped in a flash.
"Moshi moshi?" Kyoko answered.
"Oh, hold on," She turned around and looked at Ashley.
"Oi, it's your hubby."
"Shut up and gimme that!" Abandoning her things, Ashley grabbed the phone from Kyoko who was giggling.
"Hello?"
"Hey Ashley!"
"Ryo-chan!" Ashley smiled.
"Wanna hang out today? I wanna introduce you to some people."
"Hmm, I dunno, I was kind of thinking of hanging with Kyoko today."
"Aww, please? Kyoko can come too! She might want to meet them as well!" Ashley couldn't bear it when Ryosuke pleaded with her. So, she gave in.
"Fine..."
"Yay! Meet me at the Strawberry Cafe! See you two then!"
"Hah! Figures..." Ashley hung up and sighed.
"Hey, dude."
"Eh-- ?"
"What did mister boyfriend want?"
"Huh? Oh, he wants us to meet him at--"
"-- Strawberry Cafe?" Kyoko finished.
"Yep."
"Well, I suggest you get ready then!"
"Well well, miss Kyoko. I don't see-- Oh."
"HAH! I'm already dressed now CHOP CHOP!" Ashley stuck her tongue out at Kyoko who merely rolled her eyes and pushed Ashley into the bathroom.
"Don't forget to wash behind your ears!" Kyoko mocked.
"SHUT IT!"
