Theme Song: Photograph - Nickelback
PREVIEW
Daiki picked up a dusty photograph off of his dresser. There was a light grey coating and he gently blew it off. Small transparent particles swirled like snow, and the picture underneath thawed. It was a picture of three people, two boys on either side of a petite girl. The boy on the far left wore a bright smile which touched his eyes, making them sparkle. He had his arm draped around the girl's shoulders. She wore a mocking pout, but just like her brother, her eyes held a small sparkle. Of course, she had her own share of differences; Her skin tanned easily giving and she was a soft olive complexion, dimples indented below her cheek giving her a childlike air. Her hair fell in loose curls whereas her brother's was straight. She had her arms folded while the boy on her right poked her cheek, a big smile stretched across his face. Daiki looked at his younger self, trying toremember the long lost spark between the three. He wondered what brought those three together. Then, a sharp pain...or thought, clear as reality, shot through his head.
"Aw, you're so short Reika!" Daiki chuckled. Takaki rolled his eyes and Reika pouted.
"You're still short too!" Reika retorted. Takaki shook his head and placed a hand on both Daiki's and Reika's head.
"Ne, you are BOTH shorties! Happy?" Takaki grinned as Reika and Daiki huffed. Then Takaki wrapped his left arm around Reika's shoulder and Daiki poked Reika's cheek.
"Aw, you guys are so mean..." Reika pouted again and Takaki just smiled and Daiki laughed.
Daiki's heart raced has he recovered. He was breathing heavily and he continued to stare at the picture in his hands. Takaki, Reika, and him. They were so happy. What happened? Daiki's hand involuntarily brushed the sudden wetness from his eyes. What DID happen? More importantly, why did it hurt to remember?
