alksjf recently I've been listening to more of dbsk. ._. and um, am addicted to the 'fire' pv of 2NE1. :( I feel as if I should be apologizing, somehow. :(
As for movie pimping... I have yet to decide which I like more: The King and the Clown or Fly, Daddy, Fly. They're both absolutely amazing, so I'd say: go for it! Also, they have helped me a lot language-wise, as well... Though when you're done, you might be overdoing your drawl a little as well. Happens when watching Junki, I guess XD It's not like I'm seriouly attempting to actually sit down and study the language then again, neither did I with Japanese, but you're right: when watching drama/listening to music in a language, one cannot get around picking up some things. Now that I have a basic understanding of it/what it sounds like/how it's structured, I ... want more. So beware^^"
Virgin Snow is something you might be interested in as well, since he's possibly the cutest Korean/Japanese exchange student in

WHY IS HE SO PRETTY?!?!?!? ASDGL;SJKG;AFKA GK;FJSDL;GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. OK I GIVE IN! I'M A FAN! *dies*
I have watched both The King and the Clown and Fly, Daddy, Fly and thoroughly enjoyed both! I think this is the first time that I've watched a movie in a language that I had no clue about. With French or Spanish or German, I can pick up a little. And when I started watching Japanese stuff, I knew a few things that worked their way into English (like konnichiwa and sayonara and -san). But Korean is totally foreign to me. It's kind of exciting! :P
Isn't it! Awww I love languages >0< Korean never held any special ring to me before, but somehow that has changed a few months back and now it sounds ... pretty to me OTZ I'm so easily distr- oh shiny!~
What I thought of just now: you might want to try Baby and Me, which is hilarious. It's about a kick-ass gangster kiddo (yo!) who looks a damn lot like Shige, which is distracting because since when does Shige speak Korean? who finds a baby in his shopping cart. He freaks out and tries to find the baby's mother, fails, and has to take it in himself. Mommy and Daddy aren't at home, so things get a bit awkward for him, especially since Mysterious!Baby doesn't like formula: it wants breast milk. There's also a girl who looks like Hokuto from TB/X1999 and enjoys walking around in her chicken PJs... Yes, it's a cracky movie, but surprisingly I found it to be... funny. Really funny. But I guess that depends on your humor >D
I don't really like korean language @_@ too difficult, but it would be nice to learn it o.o! you're brave =D! because I'm not very attracted to korean, I don't usually listen to kpop/rock/whatever although I do have my very nice exception: Se7en http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_Ei9B1ho8I He's like the most famous korean singer XD I've known him for almost 5 years now, but just recently downloaded his music, which I like very much since it's mostly R&B and it's disturbing how much he looks like Jin XD
The Korean writing system is easy (compared to Japanese). I'm not sure about pronunciation yet.
Se7en... Hehe, I totally don't like R&B. I do like this song, though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeyMLGMN_vA (but maybe because it samples an popular English song, so it's kinda familiar) *shrugs*
He does look like Jin! Especially in profile!
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll youtube him some more and see if I find any more of his stuff that I like. :D
I LOVE PASSSION XD It's been in my head enough days already LOL
Could you please put me out of my misery by telling me what english song does it play somwhere in the song??? I can't remember it .___.!
It's funny since I knew Se7en before I even knew Jin existed XD and now that I see them both, creeps me out XD My best friend (who doesn't like Jin) loves se7en He does have very nice ballads since his voice is soft like Jin's ^^ Hope you like some other song~ Oh, he debuted in the US with Them Girls feat. Lil' Kim, it's a catchy song, I don't know if you already watched it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=depOL5JsTXk
It's a rap song from the late 70s/early 80s. It's called "Hitman" by Spoonie Gee. (I couldn't find the song on youtube.) I guess the song itself isn't that famous, but it's sampled in a lot of stuff. such as; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRFmAYh3aRc (J.Lo - Jenny From the Block (rap version)) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yJA6DDGiKc (Inspectah Deck - Nightshift (I've never heard of this group/song)) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8bi-TSR4nU (Geto Boys - Why do We Live This Way (this is so old!) (sample is about halfway through the song)
LOL! Lil' Kim?! That's... unexpected. Hahaha! I wonder if I could buy his CDs here... I'll have to check next time I'm out shopping. :P
To be honest, I don't really listen to Korean music, so I can't recommand anything (besides DBSK cause they also sing in Japanese XDD). As for KDramas: My first KDrama was Coffee Prince and it was really good!!!!! :D (The only annoying thing about KDramas is the length... I'm used to JDramas with like 10 or 11 episodes which are like only 45 or 36 minutes long.. so it's every time a challange for me to watch KDramas..>_<)
Absolutely no love for SuJu. Too... bubblegum pop? I dislike them for all the reasons I dislike News or Arashi. Just... not my style of music at all.
But I am willing to admit that this PV is utterly hilarious.
Ohgod. I can barely finish Jdramas! Maybe I'll stick with Korean movies for now. I'll bookmark Coffee Prince for when I'm feeling ambitious. Thanks for the suggestions!
