Baby, it's cold outside.

+ Yeah, I know - not nearly as cold as where you live. I ain't complainin'. The other night there was a very slim chance of "ocean-effect snow" flurries at the beaches. I do believe that is the first time in my 6½ years of living in Florida that there has been even a chance of any snow in Jacksonville. Global warming, my butt. (Pretty please? LOL ( Read more... )

Don't feel too bad. I have a regular sized dishwasher and am TERRIBLE about actually getting dishes done and getting the kitchen cleaned up. Sigh.

I think I've actually been better about doing the dishes now than I was when the dishwasher worked. Hehe. If I had a big dishwasher though... oh, that would be heaven. Someday in the very distant future when we replace the old, piece of crap cabinets in the kitchen, we will make room for a real dishwasher.

Sounds like an awesome outfit!

Was it Crunch Cardio Salsa? I used to do that one! :) It was pretty fun, but I never mastered some of the footwork. Too hard.

!!! about the purse!

I think really wanting to be a mom is something that sneaks up on you. It has on me, anyway.

I think so! We'll see what Isaac thinks. He's not so big on the trendy.

It was "Dance Off the Inches - Sizzling Salsa". They actually have a step guide, but my merengue so did not want to travel. LOL. The step guide did enable me to learn the salsa step and the non-traveling merengue, as well as how to do a fun backwards cha-cha step. I'm sure my arms were just flailing rather than looking dance-y like the girls in the video. Hehe.

I know! It's crazy. How could someone spend that much and then just give it away?!

That's what I've always heard, but it must be like a total 180 because even after psyching myself into wanting kids soon I still have a long way to go before REALLY wanting them soon. It may just be another thing that isn't me - like loving babies, ladies' teas, being pregnant, poofy wedding dresses, and high heels. Things most women adore that I don't. *shrug* I just hope it does happen to me. =o/

Gag at poofy wedding dresses! And being pregnant's not really that fun. The kicks are really cool and the ultrasounds are fun, but the whole bloating up till you feel 10x your normal size? Not so much.

My mom and grandma still pick on me for how adamant I was against poofy wedding gowns. Hehe. After wandering around downtown in one for that crazy/fun photo shoot, I am more convinced than ever that I made the right decision!

Well, I have a few friends who are pregnant right now and they have said, "I never thought I'd love being pregnant this much." I can't imagine LIKING that. I mean, I'd like the kicking and the whole growing a kid inside of me thing in general, but I think mostly I would HATE being pregnant.

I still have to update my LJ, but yesterday I was in NH and it was -17. NEGATIVE.

I'm still not sold on skinny jeans, but I've always loved flared ones. Like, ever since I can remember having favorite clothes, so since I was five or six.

That guy is so annoying! I have a Biggest Loser cardio DVD and so far I've only done the first level. It's great, though!

I thought of you last night. We were watching the local news and some lady on there was saying how you find steals at Goodwill--she showed off a several hundred designer dress (I don't remember who) that she'd gotten for $30. I was impressed, then asked her where her store was. She didn't answer, of course. ;)

I thought the idea of me being a mom was weird when I was pregnant and even after I had Jill. It's not something that just "happens." Eventually you're just used to the idea.

Yay for keeping the kitchen clean. It's the room I most hate to clean (yes, even more than the bathroom; I know I'm weird :P).

Um, that was supposed to read "several hundred dollars." Forgive me; it's been a very stressful night here, and I feel like a bad mom tonight. I'm a bit distracted.

I remember days like that from when we lived in WI! I wish I could remember the actual temperature the morning I delivered newspapers in -70º wind chill. That is not an exaggeration.

I *hated* flares when they came out. I was wearing men's straight leg jeans and women's stirrup leggings at the time, so I guess I was used to a more tapered silhouette. Bootcut grew on me though, and that led to flares. Bootcut is still my very favorite pants silhouette, but I really do like the skinnies I got the other day. Sarah and I were both surprised at how much we liked them. I would even be comfortable wearing mine without tucking them into boots - they are that cute. I wonder, if you tried them on, would you think so too? I just had a thought - maybe these are the jeans from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants! LOL! Oh yeah, and I wanted to ask you what size you usually wear and what colors you prefer to wear. The other day at Goodwill (when I found that crazy expensive leather tote) I tried on a cute jersey dress but wasn't too crazy about ( ... )

Oh, I believe you, trust me. That's just another reason I never want to the midwest.

Maybe I had bell bottoms; after all, it was the early 80s. I like boot cut, too. Maybe one day I'll give straight legs a chance.

I think it's sweet you thought of me! I'm a small (or size 6) and love blues. I've been trying to branch into different colors; there aren't many I dislike (mostly garish colors, but who really likes those anyway?).

Your thrift store is officially Da Bomb.

I don't know if I've ever had baby fever, per se. I've just always wanted kids. When I was younger, I wanted 12. Funny thing is, so did Jon. I've always loved kids and babies; since having kids, I've discovered that babies are more cute than fun (well, at least until they get mobile), but I still love them all. I guess some people are just more desirous to have kids. There's nothing wrong with that, though. That's just the way God made you ( ... )

I still feel too young to have kids though.

Tell me about it! I frequently think, "But, I thought I was still a kid!" when I remember that I'm pregnant. Of course, at 25 I should be an adult...but I guess experiencing adult things is what makes you an adult, not so much your age.

I still sometimes marvel that I'm actually MARRIED. Aren't I too young to be married?! And then I remember that, oh yeah, I've been married for 5 years. And then I feel old. Hehe.

Lol, I know what you mean there, too. The fact that I'm married to the man I'd been waiting for for close to ten years blows my mind more than feeling too young, though, in this case. Perhaps because I know so many girls far younger than I who got married right out of high school? Nah. I still feel too young. hehe.

If you decide to sell the tote, will you give me a shot at it?

kimana83 January 17 2009, 16:06:17 UTC
Of course! The average Ebay sold price for "leather banana republic tote/bag" is about $60, and that includes the little ones too, so mine may sell for even more than that. What price were you hoping to pay? I shouldn't have told you what I paid for it, huh. ;o)

It really is a beautiful tote. I wish I had a real use for it. If I could fit my laptop in it I would so keep it! It's almost big enough - but I have a 17" laptop. I bet Isaac's 15" would fit in it. Actually, I haven't tried to put my lappy in there. Maybe I should. Hmm.

Is it new or used? I'd like to see a pic, of course.
