I am sorry you had to go through that. It is shitty, and if so many others saw it too, then you know your not over reacting. Not saying that I think you are, but you know proof in numbers.
They way I see it is you can let them win. Get emotional and just give it a half go at it. Or Get pissed, then move on to the next step in getting out WITH what you wanted when you got in. Let's face it these people are not your friends and afterward you don;t have to deal with them again. So do your best, prove them wrong, and drive away with you degree, giving the school the finger as you go.
But for tonight curl up with some hot fanfiction porn
I'm not really considering giving up, per se, just really disappointed in the whole system and prepping myself for if my adviser/committee doesn't give me my masters after I defend in a few weeks. Or if I don't do well on the comp. Both events would be THE last straw, and I would just walk off the campus and not go back

Wasn't even thinking about it like that, but you are totally right! It doesn't change much (and I may even have to leave my masters off my resume to get a job).
That sucks. And knowing some of the professors at that school... yeah. Especially if none of the good ones are there to curb it. It has happened before. You are not the only one. And you are far from stupid. You are not going to get a failing grade for seminar if you did the work (which you did). So, walk back into the building and do whatever you have left to do and f*ck'em. They are not worth a second's thought from you.
Thanks. It does make me feel better to know I'm not the only one. And that's the plan: get through it with minimal effort from here, because this deserves nothing more from me. :)
I'm going to be the voice of dissent here but the grilling sounds normal for a graduate school presentation. Undergrads have a super skewed view of how profs should treat people because the school wants to graduate them for money and keep their numbers up

Well, yeah, this would be normal for a presentation... at most other schools. It just really wasn't typical for this school, based on what I've seen of other presenters/presentations
