LJ comment fix and DW

Right-O. I'm pretty sure it's everywhere by now, but in case you haven't seen it. fprintmoonhas made this post yesterday in which she linked to another awesome post that explains how to make LJ comments look almost as they did before. I got my preview button back! Yay!

I was about to ask if by any chance you checked .ru part of lj to see how they took the change. It appears that "designers" made that "upgrade" to fit how Russian users use lj, but they failed so so much, I can't even. But anyway, I'm curious, if the outrage was on our part only.

That's cool, I don't think that being patriotic is expressed by using Russian site lol And yeahm I understand that lj.ru is used mostly as real blogging site (majority of Russians I've stumbled upon don't even customize their layouts, which is normal thing on "our side")- when the newspapers in here even quote politicians (Nowotny, I think), who have blogs on lj. And I totally get why one wouldn't want to touch this part with a stick (also, the wonderful layout of lj.ru makes it quite awful and quite unusable :/).

But since they actually make posts and inform abuot the changes on lj.ru in Russian only (which makes me think they wouldn't mind just getting our part eradicated :/), I kinda guessed you'd be checking even the news post. But that's cool :)

And I really think it would serve us all best if they just told us officialy to get lost and that we aren't wanted here- fandom or just "English" userbase, it would make things easier.

No, you're right in thinking that I should be more curious. But I'm afraid that I've been the opposite of pro-active lately, and it's hard to pull myself out of that quagmire. :/

I suspect LJ owners make money through something other than client service, which would explain all this crap going on. *cringes* Though I still can't, for the love of me, understand what was wrong with comments before. >.<
