Ditto: I was not expecting that twist! I figured (in that cliched way) that Spock was being dragged in for either an interrogation or to do an assignment against his will. I have to hand it to Ramirez that he's perceptive enough and long-sighted enough to get Spock out, that having a self-destructive operative who is also a political liability (Vulcan royalty and all that) is not an asset in the long run.

I think Ramirez is right on that Spock has some stuff to fix in his life! Yikes. I think "Christopher" would be horrified. Spock obviously think that his lover has rejected him (rather than put both their long-term needs first), and that he's only destined to love one person, and that Christopher is The One. I'm guessing by your future pair-ups that he learns at least the true love part isn't true. I look forward to seeing Spock work his way out of that dark place and towards so sort of peace and happiness eventually!

Great chapter with some twists and turns. Woo!

*nodnods* Ramirez is a smart guy, I don't think he'd survive in his job if he wasn't. I think he kept Spock for as long as his cost/quality balance didn't sink too much into the risk area. I think he's dubious about letting Spock go and seizes the chance to do so while he can afford it.

And Christopher would likely be not only horrified, but mad as hell at a certain confused Vulcan. :D

Spock is in a murky place right now. It's not easy to have your belief system constantly challenged on a most profound level. Hopefully, he'll get through this.

Thanks for terrific feedback! ;)

I hope you don't mind me saying this, you know I love your stuff, but I found this installment pretty confusing. I felt like I had missed a chapter and actually went back and checked. It was pretty abrupt and unexpected, I guess. Well-written, though, and I'm looking forward to more! :)

My beta must seriously love you right now. ;)

Yeah, I understand how it can be a touch confusing, and you're welcome to tell me anytime you feel something's off -- that's what comments are meant for! ;)

Hopefully, some of the confusion will dissipate as the tale unfolds. ;) Thanks for reading!

It makes perfect sense for him to risk his life so that other people, better people, wouldn’t have to.

*cries for Spock*

I'm really enjoying this story and can't wait for the next part.

WOW!!!
So Spock feel so sad and rejected that he wants to play suicidal?????

Well thanks Captain Ramirez for enlight our vulcan!!!
he could have all the adrenaline and danger he wants in an away mission in a ship!! or a ship to ship encounter!!!!
he doesn't need to be a assassin or a contrator for that!!!
Federation will loose too much in this!

it was a great turn of event i never would guess at all!!
I hope he understand he have how to handle emotional things without kill himself!
And Jim is there you can not miss him!!!!!
I hope you can continue soon!!

He doesn't exactly play suicidal, no. He just doesn't care all that much if his life is at risk. Which kind of makes sense to him. *winces*

Thanks for reading. ;)

well i think he was, when you don't care for your life at all and do dangerous things even is in his subconscious (i think this is the case) you really are trying to kill yourself
I was there, really!!!

But i really like your story the plot line is really good, i was never expect he was an agent!!!
i will wait for the next one... you are a terrific writer!

I won't debate the issue, but I'll say this: Spock isn't trying to consciously end his life here, that is certain. ;)
