Why is it that most anime and video game fans always hate on western culture , especially Disney? What has this got to do with Kingdom Hearts you say? Well, everything, cos some fanpeople dont know that Disney co-created KH along with 'cool' Square Enix

I'm not sure about others, but when I was a teen, I used to hate western animation mainly because it belonged to my childhood ( nevermind that most shows I ACTUALLY saw as a kid were anime, and pretty good ones too).

I guess it was a way to rebel against the 'system'.

Yup, thats what i think too, as most disney-bashers are in their mid teens.

I think I agree with demondogweed...especially since I was one of those Disney-bashers until I grew into my late and now not-teens. Only I never angsted about Inu Yasha t-shirts, because I never liked Inu Yasha. Rebelling against the symbols of your childhood and stuff. Then I gots myselfs educated on Osamu Tezuka and other stuff, grew up a bit, and quit worrying about it.

It's sad when Animu freaks bash Disney, especially because of Tezuka's love for it. He saw Bambi in theatres like 47 times.
A lot of people just don't want to do the research about the things they love (in this case, anime) and remain ignorant on how things like Disney influenced them.

It doesn't help that Disney merchandise is all over the place, so it looks like the characters are milked for all their worth (I loathe those direct-to-DVD releases. LOAAATHE) to casual observers. It leaves a hella bad impression.

Meh, now I'm older I'm downloading the movie to re-watch. ._. Disclaimer: I download the ones I have on VHS, I just have no VHS player. ._.

It's more immature when they try to look 'all growed up' by bashing Disney.

I don't know where the hell they got that, "Japanese cartoons are much more mature than Disney cartoons," bullshit. Maybe this is a personal opinion, but I'd say Disney cartoons are more mature than Japanese cartoons.

Maybe that's just me. I don't know. I grew up on Disney and I still love Disney. I love several Japanese anime as well, and I love them each for what each has.

And since when did cartoons have to be so damn mature anyway? XD

Also, to be quite honest, I never knew about the Disney influence upon Japanese animation until recently. I was actually surprised, probably because I know very little about Japanese animation >_>
