For me, this drabble conveys closure, but also wonderment at the six apprentices and what they were really like; something that Riku, Sora, and Kairi will probably never know (but who says that they can't care?).
I generally think that Sora acted the way he did in KH2 because of the POWER OF PSYCHOLOGY! Namely, he needed, NEEDED, to help people. And he was told that "they have no hearts" and because he would basically go crazy otherwise, that became "they are not people". Sometime I might write a fic about when Sora realizes what he really did, because he had fit them into the slot labeled "villain" so he could do what he had to do. When he subconsciously turns that into "I killed them" I think he'll pretty much have a mental breakdown. After all, they were basically doing what he was: trying to recover what was most important to them.
