Challenge: [301] Friends
Title: Bound
Word Count: 431
Notes: Spoilers for BBS. May or may not be compliant with 3DS, I (still) haven't got round to playing it yet. But I have this whole headcanon around Yen Sid, Xehanort and Eraqus, so this drabble kind of just happened.

( Eraqus’s hands shoot out to clasp Xehanort’s arm too tightly, desperate and despairing. )

I like that you went to far back! It's nice to see someone write about these two, and their little interaction here is very sweet. Since you have this whole Yen Sid, Xehanort, Eraqus thing in your head, maybe you should write a multi-chapter thing *cough cough* :D Good Job!

I tried to make it a bit ambiguous- I figure that perhaps Xehanort maybe thought of Eraqus as something of a 'little brother' like he claims, but not enough to not be continually calculating how he can best benefit from situations, like convincing Eraqus to depend on him like here.

Unfortunately I'm no good at multi-chapter stories, but I've been considering extending this into a longer one shot, so who knows, maybe there'll be more! XD I'm glad you liked it!

Awww. This is kind of adorable, and I like the ambiguity (it is entirely possibly 3D compliant, btw) and the way Xehanort sees the grief Eraqus is setting himself up for. It just works with the way he does seem to actually care about people around him, without once letting that stop him doing any and all of the horrible things.

And poor bitty Eraqus. D: This actually makes me want to hug him!

As much as I don’t like Xehanort, I do find him interesting, especially within the context of him being alongside Yen Sid and Eraqus for so long and nobody noticing- or acting on any suspicions of- his true ambitions. I always tend to think of Eraqus as the youngest of the three, because he seems to be a bit wilfully blind where Xehanort’s concerned, and I guess it always reminds me a little of Terra and Ven.

Glad to know it could comply with canon! XD And glad you enjoyed it!

If it helps, Xehanort's probably more scheming here than really really sad?

...or maybe that just makes it worse?

Maybe I should just be quiet. D: (Though not before saying that's the best Flynn face ever! XD)
