fanart :D

So ages ago I posted a fic called Diaspora. This is relevant, because drawing the characters from there is one of the more amusing things I've done lately. So, behold my attempts at making Ed and Alfons look really, really silly.

I mean, point and laugh at Ketita's failure to do so )

fullmetal alchemist, diaspora, fanart, edward/alfons

As this post (http://imomus.livejournal.com/480772.html) will show, there is a real 'art' to not dressing well. But if you're really going for bad, I suggest studying real peoples clothing (and see if they'll let you take their pic for later reference). As for your pics, I'm going to have to agree with your friend's assessments. You've kept the characters clothing whimsical and the colors (tho they don't 'go' together aren't horrid colors). There are some truly GARISH colors out there O_o

/nod. I've been working on it, though I think part of the problem may also be that while it's easy to describe some things (leaving the imagination to do the rest), drawing it out is very different. The thing is, this is supposed to be a fashion trend, not a mass attack of colorblindness XD
And in the story, the descriptions are from Ed's point of view, which would obviously affect things.

My conclusion is that I think I'm simply not entirely sure yet how to translate what I imagined into drawing. Thank you very much for the link, though!

Translation of the mind into visual is a whole nother art form ^_^;; I guess you like to combine all at once, but then again, what artist doesn't!

I loved that fic (mindblowing levels of WTF, in a good way) and these pics are just awesome. XD XD (Yup, I'm settling as happy, non-critical reviewer.) ^^

Aww, thanks <3 And hey, happy non-critical reviewers are fun, too!
I do like the pics, even if I feel they don't quite reflect what I was imagining.

....your icon is very creepy (and awesome)

( XD It's otaku-attack's - I picked it precisely for that reason. ^^ Soon, I'll have to take it down for an ep.23 icon. But I want to see the episode before the screencaps. :\ )

:D well, hilarious is sort of what I was going for. I'm glad they do come off as being insane, even if they still don't quite match what I imagined, somehow.
And I swear I will keep writing it T_T I just promised myself I'd finish Mirrorworld first, because otherwise I don't think I ever will. Besides, Diaspora takes a LOT of energy to write (and it's going to be really long, too. My current guesstimate is about 100,000 words, which means it'll probably be more...)......the point of all this is me convincing myself that all I have to do is finish up Mirrorworld (only a few more months!) and then I will go to town on this fic. Yeah.

XDD I just hope the writing goes faster than Mirrorworld! I'd rather not be writing this story for the next three years, there are some other things I want to work on as well...

YAY KETITA DRAWS ONCE AGAIN! :D:D:D

I think it's more the characters that look cute than the clothes, it's near impossible to make Ed and Alfons ugly.

The third drawing kind of reminds me of Dr Seuss. :D

huh, you know, you may have a point. They are terribly cute. Hmm.

For Dr. Seuss, wouldn't the hat have to be stripy? XD it's actually based on a friend of mine, who wears a similar hat all the time. I figued it was wonky enough for this

I do think the first one of Alfons is sufficiently bad. But the others, while outlandish, somehow aren't "bad". But poor Ed. He's in clothing hell.

/nod. Yeah, I suppose I'll have to try and recreate that effect for upcoming drawings. At least they're enough to give an impression of what's going on there....
Poor Ed :3
