My parents are gone for the weekend. It's their anniversary.

Since I don't think my computer is currently hooked up to the network, meaning I can't access the internet from it (it might be, I'll check later) I've been using my mother's. However, the mouse on my mother's computer just totally stopped working. So I switched to my dad's.

When I ( Read more... )

It's possible that he hasn't broken his promise- alot of computers can hold an autocomplete for anywhere from months to forever, so it depends on his computer and how long ago he promised not to read it. Wise to keep it on friends-only, yes, but I wanted to point that out just to show another possibility, okay? ::pets:: I love you, don't be unhappy.

He promised it in my freshman year. Three years ago now. He has since gotten a new computer and within the last two months switched browsers.

T brought that up too. Sweet of you two to give him the benefit of the doubt, but there's no way.

I noticed the same thing last year when using his laptop but didn't call him on it. I don't see any way it could be a fluke.

Consider looking in the Browser History. If he's been using livejournal for other legitimate uses, then they would be in there, which would exonerate him. Entries for your livejournal might have been updated, since you recently accessed it. If there's nothing in the history, then you could see if it will autocomplete to some other person's livejournal.

Or you could just decide he's guilty now (which is legit, I guess).

I've been paranoidly clearing the history after every time I use the computer, and I didn't check before, so it's probably out. And it doesn't autocomplete to someone else's journal or even to the main site -- usually, on my computer at least, if I type "www.live" it completes to the main site first, and typing "~k" gets to my journal. On this computer, it didn't autocomplete to the main site at all.

And the fact that it did go to my journal the first time I typed the beginning of the url on this computer says that whatever else he might be using LJ for, he's almost certainly been reading my journal too. Given that it's not the first time I had suspected this, I don't think I'm going off on (another) flight of paranoia.

At least if he's *not* reading it, he won't see the entry, eh?

I'd like to take you up on that. If only because the name of your journal contributed to the conspiracy-theory nature of my life there for a moment. Which is a good basis for any relationship, I feel.

I warn you, I don't post much lately, so you may be bored if you're relying on my journal for entertainment. But I've friended you, so go on and read.

How did you find me? Friend of a friend or something?
