I'm sure most of you have already heard that our friend leni_jess died during the weekend. Her brother and sister have made a post hereIt's so terrible and unexpected, I'm still stunned. Leni... I've known her for almost 10 years, first her stories, then herself, and she's been such a constant presence in my fandom corner and has been active in quite a few ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I didn't know of her, but she sounds wonderful indeed. My memorial will be to read your recommendations and remember her for her talents.

*hugs*

I'm really sorry to hear that. I know her from the HP fandom. She'll be missed.

Thank you for those touching words of good-bye. I have only ever seen leni_jess name in passing as our fandom circles rarely crossed. Now I feel like I lost a whole person whom I can never discover. What sad news. :(

Would you mind if I link to your post from hp_obituaries?

It wasn't really intended as an obituary, just, well. If you think it's appropriate feel free to link, but alisanne has already put up a link to the post in Leni's LJ, which might be more appropriate?

Alisanne also put a link to your post up at hp_obituaries. It's a small community, but one of remembrance for LJ friends who have passed away or left fandom.

Thank you for giving permission to link.

Oh my God. I hadn't heard, I was laptopless over the weekend.

I didn't get to meet her during her visit and I so wanted to, I was thinking about how I hoped she'd be back soon... she was so fantastic at Diacon.

*hugs* I'm so sorry, Hijja.

I'm still trying to get up the courage to do a post. When I rode with her on the train back to Heathrow we were discussing all the things we'd missed being able to do, and she was already planning her next visit. I can't believe that it's not going to happen.

She's left a huge legacy to fandom. And a big hole.
