This has been a *very* good weekend!

I went to see Iona (the band, not the island!) on Saturday night and it was damn awesome, although I'm so not the target audience. Monotheism inspired the Vedas, Plato, Aristotle, every bit of Greek culture that may be led back to either of them or to their predecessors, the Mahabharata, Kalidasa, Indian art to this day. (If you want to honk off the nicest and mildest of HIndus, call him a polytheist. If his friendship survives, he will eventually spell out to you in words of one syllable that all the devata to whom he offers puja are nothing but aspects of the One.) Then we have the Jewish people, including such items as Moses Maimonides and Jack Kirby. I don't discuss Christianity, because, according to Muslims and Jews, it is not monotheist at all.
