So, I am on summer layoff! Got laid off last thursday and while i'm always happy for it I get kind of depressed too. But I get depressed when it's time to go back too. So, yeah

My condolences to Stacey and you all. I'm glad for his and the girls' sakes that there was some level of reconciliation before she died. And it sounds like you handled it all with grace; you're a good, good woman.
So Stacey had a gastric bypass, or a lap band? I'm really happy that it's working out so well for him. Tell him congrats from a fellow gastric bypass patient :)
K sounds like such a cool little badass. I'm guessing she keeps you hopping.
I hope y'all have a wonderful summer ahead of you!
He had the gastric bypass after his doctor told him he didn't think the lap band would help as much. He's had to relearn to eat but he says he wishes he'd done it earlier.
I'm glad he got a chance to spend time with his mom. I always tried to keep in my head that no matter how she was when were there and even after we moved, that was his mother and his best friend when he was younger.
K and Z have changed personalities and it's amazing and funny. Now Z is more shy while K is not. She performed in her school talent show and now she loves this tae kwon do stuff and her goal is that black belt. I'm glad she likes it and I think it gave her more confidence. We're slowly trying to get Zoe interested in the afterschool tae kwon do stuff.
Oh, good to see you posting! Wow, things have been busy over there. I'm sorry for your loss, but I bet Stacey is glad he managed to reconcile things before she passed. He also sounds like he's getting crazy healthy. I bet your kids love that. :)
Yeah, I'm glad he got to see her and be in a place where they had talked and stuff. He also got a chance to talk to some of his family he hadn't talked to in a long time.
Stacey is getting healthy. He walks after work, determined to lose weight and be healthier. It really scared him when the doctor told him nothing was really working for him. He went from 21 pills and two (like insulin) shots to 3 pills, and no shots.
So yeah, busy and stuff though I remember thinking in February (our busiest month at work) that May and June would never get here. I love having a break from the crazy people on the phone.
Sorry for the super lateness of the comment, as I am getting caught up on LJ. I will echo what Mays said about condolences and grace under pressure. Family stuff can be so stressful, especially when there are children involved. *huge hugs*
Also, congrats to hubby and K on the accomplishments! Totally awesome.
