Man, I'm glad you got your inspiration and...what was it, Nutella? Because this was awesome. 8D
It's been a while since I read anything canon that wasn't way too fluffy or way too super-angst, if you know what I'm talking about, and this was really good. =D I like how you portray their return to the islands, as they are easing back into "normalcy" just enough to get back into a routine, but not without that little bit of uncertainty because of everything that happened in the last three years or so.
And I also love how I can really see Sora using cucumber-melon shampoo. xP

Riku's stubborn introversion after returning to the islands was also something I loved about this. It's very him, to think he's still acting the same, when he's really not. And it's very Sora to notice that he's not and at first take it personally and then take it into his own hands. I thought that was cute, realistic, and very well-done and I loved it.

This was very well-written and everything ran smoothly, and it makes me really miss canon stuff.

There was no Nutella, only bettareader, flwrpwr_vampyre, caseyvalhalla, and glass_metric on instant messenger at the same time. It was the equivalent of OMG INCOHERENT SQUEE!

I know what you're talking about, because my eye twitches everytime I find something canon nowadays, which is part of the reason why I wrote this. My original idea, "What happens after Kingdom Hearts... in a way that's totally not a soap opera?" Like... you know... there's life. *shrugs* That's the only way I can put it.

I'm so glad you agreed with their behavior, considering the whole story is based on how I thought they would've acted. Otherwise... it would be complete crack (in a bad way) and thus not worth keeping public.

Heh... pretty much everything else I'll be writing from here on out will be AU. With the exception of a Dean/Sam SPN one-shot, but that's more like what could have happened before the show started... er... and you don't watch that show. Hey, this was really great! It was exactly the kind of fic I've been itching to read and there aren't too many good ones these days, but this was perfect. The characterisation was spot-on and I just really enjoyed reading this. Great work!
