I really loved the imagery in this and the descriptions of their friendship. Even if you don't know much about them this story gives you a starting point of what their relationship is like.

I love the paragraph where Sora is musing about the sunset and how looking at it every day would make it less special. It was really beautiful and tells you a lot about him.

Thank you! *squees and hugs desperately* A comment! A glorious comment! Livejournal trumps ff.n gloriously, but ssh, just in case someone over there actually bothers to review. *grumbles*

Anyway, yeah, Riku/Sora is very... well, you have to be careful when you write it. See, most people think it's easy because they're "soul mates" and they have this teasing relationship and everything, but really that's what makes it so difficult. There are other layers to their competitive natures, otherwise they wouldn't be so close. Sure, Sora's cute and Riku's cocky, but if that were it, they just wouldn't work out together.

Ssh, but I write Sora by channeling myself. I'm so much like him personality wise, it's ridiculous. And I like to think that bettareader is the Riku to my Sora, but in a straight way. You know, like how the game's supposed to be. *giggles*

Really pretty start to this, and I really enjoyed how you wrote Sora and Riku. ♥ Riku in particular, I'd say, just based on his musings and internal thoughts and such.

I'm glad glass_metric got someone awesome at writing into this fandom, heee~ ♥

Thank you! It's both hard and easy for me to write Riku and Sora at the same time, for I identify closely with both of them. I guess this makes me sound a bit like a split personality. *giggles* However, writing both boys is a lot more difficult than some people believe; you have to capture their personalities without selling out and making them... I don't know, typical. You still have to make them human, you know?

Oh, she didn't get me into writing the fandom because I was working on this when I met her. However, without her, I would've felt a lot more self-conscious about posting this story. It's been wonderful talking to someone else who loves this pairing (as well as others in the fandom), because before I started talking to her, I could only gush to either friends who have no idea what I'm talking about but still like my writing/me, or who are adamant in their belief that Riku and Sora are not guy (but who are convinced that Axel and Roxas are). I shall not name names, but I shall throw pointed glances in certain people's ( ... )

Haha, I totally understand how that goes, though I identify more with Riku/Roxas, weirdly enough. Trust me though, totally know what you mean. ♥

Ahh, okay, I understand. Yeah, Mimi's really good for peptalk and just saying "HALP WHAT AM I DOING WITH THIS FIC :|" to, fff, she's put up with me multiple times. She's a saiiiint. And haha, lol, yeah, it bothers me too when the boys are written as girls.

No problem! It's really nice to get comments on fics, esp. when you've worked a while or you're newish to the fandom. FFN is kind of scary, and honestly, I've notice that people give good/better feedback here on LJ rather than on the pit.

Good luck writing!

It is beautiful when you do it right. *sighs happily*

Thank you, I sort of write Sora the way that I act/think, because my sister says that I'm so much like him that it's scary. *giggles* But if I'm Sora, then bettareader is my Riku. Except, like, without the sex (that you know totally happens behind the scenes in the games).

Yes, there will be a second part. I'm currently working on it right now, and it should hopefully be up fairly soon.

Oh, this was wonderful. You're a very good writer.

I loved all the descriptions of everything. They were detailed enough to make them stunning, but they didn't go into so much detail that it drew away from the story.

I look forward to the next part of this.

Why, thank you! Really, it made me all warm and fuzzy inside when you said that. I like to try to describe the images in my head, since I usually just derive a story from a very clear scene that pops into my head and add to it and connect the scenes... so I just hope that I can get people to see things the way I do. Plus, my train of thought always gets hung up on instances when someone writes a character putting on a condom, and then never has that person take it off. You've gotta be consistent too, you know? *giggles*

I'm working on the second part now. Slowly.
