We have had an unexpected turnout of authors already and the artist:author ratio is getting unwieldy, so if you still want to participate, please consider signing up as a pinch-hitter. We'll need to call on you if there are any author dropouts.

I'm a little confused because I thought I signed up to be an author but now I'm not so sure, lol. I submitted my info with the form and everything but since this is the first time I've signed up for a competition like that it's possible I've done something wrong. If I did I would still love to sign up to be a pinch hitter.

You're on the authors list :) We'll post an author check-in post later, but everyone who already signed up is there as an author, just going forward, whoever wants to sign up will be signing up as a pinch-hitter since we don't want too many authors doubling up on the artwork. Does that make sense?

Yeah, thanks! Like I said, I've never used Google Docs to sign up for anything so I was worried I didn't do it right, lol.
