It's too bad that air conditioners or ceiling fans aren't common in the UK if this type of heat is going to continue.

Well you can buy those portable floor standing air con units and we have one but it’s always too much work to set it up …. Lol!

That's an impressive flow of water, especially the waterfall at the beginning.

It was just such a huge volume of water in about 30 minutes. Nothing compared to the floods elsewhere but it caused quite a bit of damage.

That is a lot of rain. We haven't had rain for at least 10 days now - we might get some by next Wednesday apparently. It's to be hoped it isn't as much as you got.

It was a lot of rain in a very short space of time, so the poor drains couldn't cope. There was a lot of rain damage and a school has had to close completely as have a couple of shops. Some poor people have quite considerable rain damage to their houses as well. It was very shocking to see such heavy rain after a week without. We're forecast a whole weekend of storms and rain again, but at least the garden is enjoying it LOL!
