Apparently today is Livejournal's birthday - it's 22. I've had my journal since 2005 and I'm so glad it's still running. Nothing really compares for me - the Twittersphere is an annoying stream of consciousness (I no longer visit), Facebook is difficult to communicate on (and you can't have a 'conversation' with anyone without everyone being told

Sorry about the begonias. I lost my geraniums too and I've had some of those for a couple of years. It was stupid because I should have covered them but didn't really believe how cold it was going to get.

I didn't realise it was LJ's birthday. I do so agree that it is still the most suitable of sites for me. I find Twitter maddening as I do sometimes enjoy it and sometimes it makes me despair. There seems to be no happy medium. The other sites I don't do.

Yes I’m annoyed I didn’t bring the begonias in. That’s the second lot I’ve lost and they aren’t cheap! I’ll probably just cave and buy a pre planted hanging basket when they turn up at the garden centre :(

I'd be happy for a remedial class by now! LOL The visit sounds lovely. I'm going to have a chance to join a very small group of friends on Saturday and looking forward to it immensely.
