Yunho sighed, taking a deep breath to relieve his self after a night filled with a hard tension of his work as a doctor. It was one of those nights that Yunho acknowledged his job to be a stressful job, that no matter how tired he was, he couldn’t afford to lose concentration. He couldn’t lose his focus, especially the moment when one of the patients under his treatment got cardiac arrest right at three in the morning.
Yunho had tried his best though. He did the CPR over and over again, trying to make the heart beat again and supplied the oxygen to the brain, but it had no effect. With a doctor as his assistant and nurses, he took another way and combined the CPR with a rapid defibrillation and tried once again, while silently prayed for the patient to regain the pulse. But after two hours of struggling to save the patient using every method that he had known along his career as a doctor, while the electrocardiograph kept showing the flat line without any change, Yunho finally gave up. He soon announced the patient’s time of death with a deep remorse crept to his heart.
That was why he was here, at the place where he could securely cry his heart out from his failure. It was one of those moments he would ask himself about his true reason of why he had chosen to be a doctor in the first place if he can’t even save his patient.
Nonetheless, deep inside his heart, Yunho knew that human had no ability in overpowering the death when it had decided to take control over human’s soul. And who was Yunho to oppose such power?
He exhaled; his night shift was over an hour ago, but Yunho didn’t find that going home is an interesting thing to do this morning. He only closed his eyes, enjoying the serenity of an empty rooftop with the autumn breeze lively dancing around him while the morning sun had taken its place, lighting the whole town with its warm-rays, and when he opened them again, the flashes of remembrance that recently haunting him returned before his eyes, making his feelings worsen.
“Changmin… how are you?”
“Are you okay? Did you take your meal properly?”
“Did you have a good night sleep?”
“You don’t overwork yourself, do you?”
Yunho muttered those questions a little bit more to himself as he knew better that no one would answer. It was just that… he missed Changmin so badly.
At a time like this, when Yunho felt down and needed someone to take care all of his insecurities, it was only Changmin that he could think about, knowing that only the younger man would be able to relieve his miserable heart with his endearment and affectionate love.
-------------------------------------
It had been three weeks since the incident at the club, and now Yunho was ready to discharge from the hospital with all of his injuries almost fully recovered. It was thanks to Yoochun, who always reminded him to take his medicine regularly and persistently annoyed Yunho when he kept telling him to have a rest every time he checked on him. He didn’t know why, but Yoochun often forgot that Yunho was also a doctor, and he knew exactly what was good for him at a state like that. And when Yunho reminded him that, the latter always was chuckling at him and he seemed to be so proud of himself that he got Yunho under his control. “I know that, but THIS time, YOU’re the patient, and I AM the doctor.” It irritated Yunho and he would pout childishly at his best friend.
Nevertheless, it was the fact that his lovely boyfriend who had stayed by his side every day that encouraged Yunho to recover fast and he can’t patiently wait to discharge soon and going home to his now shared apartment with Changmin.. Changmin accompanied him throughout his medical checkups, being with him almost all the time, including during visiting hours. He took care of him with a large affection that Changmin had never shown towards him before, And now he was ready to be discharged, but even though he was out from the hospital, he still needed to go back to the hospital for a routine check up in order to examine his ribs condition.
Changmin, on the other side, recovered faster since his injuries were not too severe and his body was in a great condition. The bandage on his head had been removed, leaving a dried scar patterned at the spot near his right eyebrow, but the doctor told him that it won’t leave a mark once it healed. When the boy met Yunho after that, Yunho kissed the scar, convincing Changmin that they should forget everything that caused all the incidents back there and walking onwards to face another day and awaiting future, which Changmin agreed.
Yunho really seemed to be so happy. He can’t stop himself from grinning like a fool whenever the thought of living together with Changmin in their apartment invaded his mind. The young boy had told Yunho while they were in Yoochun’s car (Yoochun drove them since Yunho’s still incapable of doing it) that he already brought his things to his new home, which was Yunho’s apartment, and already settled things there with Junsu’s help. He said it will be at its best condition when Yunho got home. When they got there, Yoochun helped Yunho go to his apartment, while Changmin brought all Yunho’s belongings.
And for the first time in his life, Yunho felt so glad to be home. Though he’d been hospitalized for only three weeks, he really missed to be home. He missed his couch, his living room, his kitchen, especially his cozy bedroom with its large window where he could gaze the sight of town and its crowded road. He compared his feeling when he was on the hospital’s bed, with its monotone white-colored mattress and the same strong smells of medicine, to the feeling when he was here, on his own bed inside his lively-colored room and soft mattress. And now he understood the reason why most of his patients dislike being hospitalized in a long term. Of course this is so much better than the hospital’s ward, Yunho thought when Yoochun settled him on his bed.
“Thank you so much, Chun.”
“No problem, dude.” He huffed. “Well, I have to go back to the hospital now and I’ll leave you here with Changmin. I bet you two want to spend some time alone.” He said when he noticed Changmin entering Yunho’s room with a short wink.
Yunho smirked. He heard Yoochun talking to Changmin first, before saying goodbye to each other, and Yunho bet that it was to make sure that Changmin would keep his eyes on him. It was Yoochun, after all, being a doctor and a good friend and he will make sure that Yunho won’t do anything stupid by not taking his rest properly.
After Yoochun left, Changmin walked towards Yunho on the bed.
“How do you feel?” He asked when he settled himself at Yunho’s side.
“Feels so much better comparing to those three weeks in the hospital.” He answered with a small grin and Changmin smiled.
“Do you want me to get you something? Or are you hungry?”
“Hmmm… I’m not hungry yet, but I would like a glass of water, please.”
“Wait a minute then. I’ll go get it for you.” Changmin beamed, giving Yunho a sweet kiss on Yunho’s cheek before swiftly ran outside of the room.
------------------------------------------------------
It was two weeks full of love and precious time for both Yunho and Changmin.
Changmin quitted his job as newspaper boy, claiming that he wanted to spend more time with Yunho in the morning, and since he didn’t have to think about his debts anymore, Yunho convinced Changmin to quit his job at the supermarket as well and he complied. Reconsidering that he already lost two jobs, Changmin insisted to keep his job at the coffee shop and extended his working hours until the closing time. Yunho can only relent, knowing that he can’t do much about that.
At one of their cuddling times, Yunho asked Changmin about what Changmin’s plan for the future. Since they had through the worst part, Yunho thought that it was okay to bring up the discussion about university to Changmin. At this, Changmin only smiled and said that he hadn’t thought about it yet as he still reconsidered a few things. He told Yunho not to worry, because once he had his decision, he’ll tell Yunho immediately, besides, he still wanted to save some more good time with Yunho. Yunho didn’t push any further after that, actually quite satisfied with Changmin’s last statement as he grinned to himself.
During his recovery time, Yunho stayed at home under Changmin’s care, and Yunho had no complaint about that since his lover treated him fully with love and affection. He always kept him company, helped him with his medicine, and also went with him to every check up session that Yunho must attend to. In no time, Yunho was healthy again. His ribs were healing and he can now do anything very well, but he still hadn’t returned to work at the hospital yet.
There was a meeting regarding the incident that involving Yunho and Yunho had to wait, wait for the hospital’s management to make a decision about that. His father, as known as the head of the hospital, had visited him during one of his check up sessions and clearly stated about that. Yunho accepted the information very well, clearly understanding that maybe he had broke one of the hospital regulations concerning every doctor who works there. But he didn’t have to wait for so long, because Yoochun called him in a fine Monday morning, informing him that the head of the hospital needed to see him immediately in his office.
Yunho told Changmin, and just like what he had predicted, Changmin got very anxious about it. He felt that it was his fault that Yunho got in trouble regarding his position at the hospital, and Yunho needed an hour or so for actually convincing Changmin that there’s nothing to worry and finally he agreed on letting Yunho go to see his father at the hospital.
------------------------------------------------------
“Changmin-ah, I’m home.”
Yunho removed his shoes and soon his lover’s figure greeted him with worry on his face as he asked, “Hyung… How is it?”
Yunho shrugged, but still smiling reassuringly at his question as he passed Changmin to the living room. “Well, he’s strict just like usual and he can not afford anything to ruin his reputation, especially when it was about his own son.” Yunho threw himself onto the couch, asking Changmin to bring him a glass of water. When he did, Yunho gulped the water in one gulp into his dry throat, with Changmin already beside him on the couch.
Yunho admitted that his meeting with the hospital’s president, his father to be exact, wasn’t a nice meeting. He had to hear his father reminding him about responsibility as a doctor for ditching a meeting he supposed to attend, about manner, about not ruining the Jung’s honor-the family’s honor-especially when he was the heir of the hospital, and he can’t accept Yunho’s action in involving himself in an real fight. And because of those reasons, Yunho got a suspension of his duty as a doctor for two months.
Changmin looked at him insistently, and asked Yunho to explain any further, but Yunho only smiled calmingly. He took Changmin and wrapped his arms around him; and Changmin sneaked his around Yunho’s waist.
“Don’t worry too much, Minnie. I’m okay. It’s just a temporary suspension of my duty at the hospital. In two months, I’ll be back to work again.”
“But everything was because of me, right? It won’t happen if I listen to you and not so recklessly went to that club without a companion. I felt that I really wanted to die when those bastards hurt you, hitting you and-“ Changmin let out a soft sob, choking on his words with his tears. “-and I… I’m so afraid that they would kill you while I can not do anything to save you-“
“Sshh..” Yunho cupped his cheeks and lifted the boy’s face to meet his gaze. He leaned forward and kissed the tears away. “Don’t cry baby. I’m okay now. I’m here, and we will be okay. The worst part was already passed and now you don’t have to be afraid of them. They won’t hurt any of us anymore.”
“But it was still my fault…” Changmin insisted, still hiccupping slowly, and Yunho touched his shoulder-length brown hair softly. His eyes never left Changmin’s face.
“I never blamed you for that, and never will. That’s my duty to protect my lovely boyfriend. And I’m so glad that I did that, because I’d blame myself if anything bad happens to you.”
“But… did you ever think of how I felt if I-if I lost you?” Changmin looked at him with apprehensive eyes and still wet with tears.
Yunho kissed his temple and then said softly, “There’s nothing that could ever take me away from you, or otherwise, there’s nothing that could ever take you away from me, because I won’t let that happen.”
Changmin wiped his tears with the back of his hands and strongly gazed at Yunho. He brought his hands up to clutch on Yunho’s shirt’s collar. “Don’t risk yourself for me again! Promise me!”
“Changmin…”
Changmin shook his head hard and tightening his hold on Yunho’s collar. “Promise me!” He said sternly.
Yunho sighed in defeat. “I promise.”
“…”
“Now, do I get a little smile from my Changminnie?” A grin tugged on Yunho’s lips as he eyed his lover with a mischievous expression.
But instead a smile, Changmin pulled Yunho by his shirt and then crushed their lips together in a needy kiss. Yunho was startled at first, but then he smiled tentatively before responding to Changmin’s kiss and soon taking the lead of their kiss. When they had to pull away for the need of air, Changmin shyly giggled. “I hope I’ll have my Yunnie for those two months onwards only for myself.”
Yunho couldn’t help but grin wider at Changmin’s little statement and then ruffling his hair before laughing happily. “Anything for you, baby.”
Everything went so well and, during his suspension time, Yunho mostly stayed at home with Changmin, doing things only with the two of them. They cooked and ate their meals together with a cheerful atmosphere and then washed the dishes alternately. In the morning after breakfast time they were doing the laundries, cleaning the whole apartment which sometimes ended up fighting to each other using their cleaning equipments (Changmin with his feather duster and Yunho with his mop’s handle) as exciting sounds and laughter from their mouth filling the air, and at the end they had to redo the cleaning activities because of the mess they had created after. And when it was time for Changmin to head to the café, Yunho would give him a kiss on the forehead and told him to come home soon. He got a smile and a peck on his lips as an answer.
There were times when they got nothing to do but just sitting in the living room, reading or watching television as they cuddled and held each other closely. Or whenever they got bored they would went out, calling Yoochun or Junsu to hang out together that they eagerly agreed. There were also times that they got bored after staying inside the apartment for so long and went out only the two of them to have their date, doing the groceries, picnic at the park, or headed downtown for a walk, hand in hand, with ice cream in their free hand and gazing every shop, while observing and commenting at every product in the show window that raised their interest. And when they got tired, they would go home in search for the warmth of their bed and lulled to sleep in each other’s company.
Yes, they were both happy. But why... why did Yunho had this uneasy feeling inside his heart? It leads him in thinking that what he had with Changmin now was too good to be true, and he can’t stop feeling that something he vaguely recognized will come between them and took their happiness. He really didn’t want to think about it, but somehow the look on Changmin’s face was making Yunho believe that there’s something wrong. He wasn’t sure at first, but now that he noticed, Changmin went a bit overly affectionate towards him. He seemed to try his best to spend his time with Yunho as much as he can. Not that Yunho would mind that; he was happy at the thought that Changmin loves to be with him enough to bring him a warm feeling inside his heart. But was it really like that?
It was just like before, the symptoms in Changmin’s behavior now was similar to the one when he was hiding from Yunho the fact that he was working at the gay club back then. When Changmin thought that Yunho wouldn’t notice, he would take a deep sigh, biting his lips, seeming in a deep thought, and a sad expression was washing over his face, replacing every smile that he wore a moment ago. Even occasionally he would stand up alone against the large window in their bedroom, gazing to the sight of the town with a longing stare, like he wanted to absorb the view in his brain and memorize every corner or every point he paid attention to between his narrowed eyes.
It was like before that Yunho caught Changmin staring outside the window with a faraway look on his face when he got out from the bathroom after a shower.
He sighed, but decided to hug his lover’s form from behind with his slight wet body, the boy still not noticing Yunho’s presence.
“Baby, what are you doing? I caught you so many times just standing here and looking at the town longingly. Mind to tell me the reason?” Yunho asked him with a soft tone, but his voice implied curiosity and concern at the same time. He felt Changmin startled by his presence, but it was only for a moment, before he leaned completely against Yunho’s bare chest, not caring about the slight wetness still covering Yunho’s upper body.
“Nothing… The town looks so beautiful from up here.” Changmin answered, his voice suddenly changing into a cheerful one, exactly the opposite from the expression that Yunho saw before.
Yunho frowned as he noticed the change.
“Is it really like that?”
Changmin spun around. “What do you mean by that?” He asked back.
Yunho shrugged, “I don’t know, I just feel there’s something different about you lately. I think that you are hiding something from me.” Yunho looked to those eyes and found that those orbs were empty, not quite lively like usual.
His lover’s smiled as he caressed Yunho’s cheek, “Really, Yunho, sometime you’re too worrying over something that doesn’t exist. I’ve promised you that I won’t hide anything from you, right? Do you not believe me?”
“No, not that, it’s just that the last time I saw you like this, something bad happened to you.”
Changmin kissed him lightly, “I’m not lying, Yunho-yah, I assure you. And I swear to God that nothing bad will happen to me.”
Yunho frowned once again, trying to reassure himself that what Changmin said was true. “Are you sure?”
“A hundred percent.” Changmin exclaimed clearly and Yunho sighed. He turned Changmin around and wrapped his arms around him.
“Better be like that.” Yunho remarked, inhaling the sweet scents of his lover by kissing his shoulder and then pressing the side of his head to Changmin’s, pulling him even closer.
Changmin hummed softly and Yunho joint him gazing down to the sight that their window provided. They stayed like that for a while, with nothing to talk about, just enjoying the sight of the town illuminated by the bright light of the street’s lamps, every building’s lighting, and vehicles passing by the street below.
“Yunho-yah…”
“Hmm?”
“Why don’t we go for a little vacation?”
Yunho tilted his head to see Changmin’s face. “Why all of the sudden?”
Changmin shrugged his shoulder, tightening his hold to Yunho. “Because it would be our first vacation since we were together, and I really want to spend more time and have fun with you before you go back to work in three days.”
“But, how about your part time job at the coffee shop?”
Changmin looked up at him and smiled. “Don’t worry about it. I took care about it and already asked the owner to give me a couple of days off, and he did.”
Yunho chuckled on him. “You planned all of this, weren’t you?”
Changmin kissed his cheek. “Of course! I knew that you won’t turn me down.”
“Oh well… That’s what I hate about myself…”
“What?” Changmin abruptly pulled away from Yunho after hearing what Yunho said. “Fine! I won’t ask anything from you again.” He pouted hard, getting all cranky, with puffy cheeks, and he crossed his arms refusing to look at Yunho.
Yunho grinned. Even though Changmin was sulking, it was the most wonderful sight that he’d seen that day, because his young lover was too cute and adorable for his own good. Yunho then extended his arms to reach Changmin again. He rested his head on Changmin’s shoulder and said. “Of course it was a joke. I only wanted to play with you.” He lightly kissed Changmin at the spot where Changmin’s neck meet his shoulder. “Of course I will do anything you ask me to do. Not just for a little vacation, but I’ll give you the best vacation ever if you ask me to.”
A few seconds after that, Yunho felt Changmin relaxed in his hold as he put his upper body’s weight on Yunho’s while leaning his head to the older man’s shoulder. But his mouth was still pursed into a light pout that Yunho wanted to kiss so badly, but he let him like that.
Yunho waited. A second turned to twenty seconds. Twenty seconds turned to a minute, and that was Yunho’s limit. “Stop pouting, Min, or else I’ll kiss you senselessly and I won’t let you go even though you’re starting to plead me.”
Changmin sighed and then turned around to face Yunho. He was smiling and Yunho was satisfied with that. “You’re best when you’re smiling like this.” He rubbed their nose together and then they were laughing.
**
It was a nice vacation for both Changmin and Yunho. Yunho took him to his family’s villa outside the town, which took them two hours of driving from Seoul. When they got there, Changmin seemed really excited. He was impatiently running from the car to admire the villa, eliciting a happy chuckle from Yunho. The villa itself isn’t too big, it only has one floor, but it’s really cozy and comfortable with its white color painted the whole walls. And the best part of it was the beach behind the villa, and that they could have the place only for themselves.
Yunho told him that he comes every summer, with his mother and sister or sometimes only by himself when he needed time away from every problem he had. The last time he came here was at summer two or three years ago, he told Changmin as his lover now was observing the whole villa, taking an interest at every family’s picture hanging along the living room’s wall. The pictures were showing Yunho with his parents, Yunho with his sister, or there were some of Yunho when he was still a kid, standing together with his sister in front of the villa.
“I was eight when the picture was taken, and my sister was six.” Yunho explained, leaning to the wall while watching Changmin went from one picture to another.
“You’re so cute, Hyung…” Changmin cooing, tracing Yunho’s picture with his finger and Yunho only smiled at Changmin’s little comment.
They continued to explore the villa. It has three bedrooms, and Yunho made Changmin picked one room for their bedroom at his will. And of course Changmin picked the main room, because it provided the best view to the sea behind the villa. It was indeed really beautiful, as Changmin opened the transparent glass door that would lead them to the land filled of white sands and the sea waves as the background music to their ear. The shore wind was blowing, creating a calm aura for every longing soul.
“Do you like it?” Yunho asked Changmin as he kissed his shoulder.
“So much! This is the best, Yunho. Thank you.” He said back, kissing Yunho’s cheek softly.
“I’m glad.” Yunho smiled contently as he cupped Changmin’s cheeks and started kissing him. But it was before Yunho heard an angry growl from Changmin’s stomach.
He blinked and pulled away, watching his lover’s embarrassed face in a questioning expression. He burst out laughing a few seconds later, when Changmin glared at him with shame. “God, baby… You’re ruining such a perfect moment we had a few minutes ago… hahaha!” Yunho said between his laughter while clutching his aching abdomen for too much laughing.
“I’m sorry,” Changmin pouted, “I can’t help it I’m hungry… and stop laughing already, hyung!” He lightly slapped Yunho’s arm puffing his cheeks as a protest.
Yunho stopped his laughter but still put on a happy giggle coming out his mouth of Changmin’s cuteness. “Okay, okay… let’s go shopping first and you could pick what food you want to have for lunch.”
“Really?” Changmin’s face lit up, forgetting his cranky manner to Yunho immediately, and Yunho chuckled again. He was always like this when it came to food.
“Anything for you.”
Thus, Yunho and Changmin went to the nearby store and bought everything: rice, vegetables, eggs, meats, fruits, some boxes of cereal, juices and milk, and when they got back to the villa, Changmin stuffed the refrigerator with the groceries before they proceed to cook for their lunch. They were cooking happily after they had agreed to the menu. Changmin decided that they will have bimbimbap and egg rolls for their lunch and kimchi jjiggae for their dinner later.
Day’s rolling, and the couple was never in the state of getting tired. After lunch and having the dishes cleaned up, they played on the beach. Even though the summer sunshine mercilessly hit their skin with its light and sharp heat, Yunho and Changmin seemed never be bothered. They were swimming, diving with occasional kisses under the water, or just staying on the seaside. Just like two happy little kids, they made a sand castle in a spot where the waves won’t reach and sweep it away from its original form. And when it was done, they admired their work, commenting that it should have a little improvement here and there, never seemed to get satisfied with the final result. And when the sun started falling down at the west, they laid their selves on bare sand, half naked, sticky with the salty water and sand grains patched on their skin while gazing at the beautiful sight of purple, red and orange mixed in a one twilight.
Yunho watched the horizon, noticing the change of the wind’s speed which was blowing a little harder and he could see the dark clouds slowly moving, revealing their form and prepared to take over the sky’s throne from the afternoon’s king.
“Min…” Yunho glanced to his lover who had his eyes closed, apparently lost in his own world.
“Hmm?” Changmin hummed, but feeling unnecessary to glance back at Yunho.
“Let’s get inside, it’s getting dark.”
Changmin took a deep sigh, opening up his eyes, he smiled to Yunho and got up. Yunho followed after cleaning the grit from his body. When he looked up, he met a mischievous grin tugged on Changmin’s mouth.
“Whoever gets the villa first wins and the loser has to cook dinner for the winner and do the dishes ALONE.” Changmin said with an emphasis on his last word.
Yunho smirked. “Okay… Let’s race in three… One… Two… THREE!!” They started running, chasing against each other to reach the villa first, not willing to lose to the other. But, not much saying, Changmin won and Yunho, as the loser, has to cook him dinner and do the dishes after.
“Damn his long legs.” Yunho whined, his feet a little rigid as he stepped inside the bathtub and settled himself inside the warm water as he relished the feeling of the water caressing his skin. He smiled. He was really glad that this turned to be right exactly what he was planning. He was so content whenever he saw Changmin smiling and enjoying this little vacation, as much as Yunho does. “Oh well, as long as he’s happy…” Yunho mumbled to himself.
**
“Don’t be jealous over me and Changmin, Chunnie? I knew that you want to take a vacation too.” Yunho laughed over his best friend. They were talking on the phone after Yunho and Changmin finished their dinner at the last night of their vacation in Yunho’s villa. Yunho chuckled at his best friend, who he knew was pouting at the other side and obviously envious of their vacation while he had to fight with his duty at the hospital.
“If I were there, I’m sure I would go to kick your gorgeous ass badly, Yunho!” Yoochun remarked, eliciting an amused laugh from Yunho.
“Okay… okay… We’ll be back tomorrow morning, and I’ll see you at the hospital around six.”
“Fine…” Yoochun answered, apparently not too interested; the opposite way of when he reminded Yunho about his suspension’s term that was ending today. Yunho rolled his eyes, he didn’t understand Yoochun’s behavior. He would get fired up about something and nagging it at Yunho over and over again, but minutes later he could totally turn 180 degree as he brings the matters down as if he never cared before.
“See you tomorrow then.” Yunho said and then hanging up even before Yoochun could react. He grinned to his phone, a little bit imagining Yoochun’s face at the other end as he probably got pissed of Yunho.
Settling his phone on the kitchen’s counter, Yunho wondered.
Where is Changmin?
Yunho was sure that when he talked to Yoochun, Changmin was still watching television in the living room. A whole day, they spent their time in riding Yunho’s car, exploring every street and new beautiful places they could found, until they ended up stopping at the cliff and relaxing themselves as they watched the scenery while having a warm and lovely conversation. They had lunch at a small restaurant nearby, serving the best seafood according to Yunho, before going back to the villa to enjoy the last night of their vacation.
Changmin obviously wasn’t at the living room nor in the kitchen, since Yunho talked to Yoochun while leaning on the counter where he could see the perfect view of the living room. Yunho then moved to their bedroom, checking if maybe Changmin was already asleep, but the bed was untouched and the glass door slightly opened. Yunho smiled.
He then got out, stepping on the cooling sands with bare foot, putting his hands inside his jean’s pockets while tracing the shore line, looking for Changmin under the moonlight. It didn’t take that long for Yunho to find Changmin standing near at the coast, bare foot, while gazing at the dark horizon that regularly lighten by the faraway lighthouse.
“Min?”
Changmin turned his face and then flashing him a smile. “Yunnie..”
“What are you doing here?” He asked as he moved to stand next Changmin’s side, extended his hand to reach Changmin’s, entwining their fingers together.
“Nothing… the wind was too god to be ignored.”
“Hmmm… but the sky is dark, I thought that it would be a storm tonight. Aren’t you cold?” Yunho said, observing his lover’s form. He didn’t wear his jacket, only a t-shirt and a short.
“Why would I? It’s summer, Yunho-yah…” Changmin was chuckling at him.
“I know, but it’s chilling out here.”
Changmin smiled, he turned to wrap around Yunho who naturally hugged him back.
“I miss you…” Changmin said against Yunho’s chest.
“Eh?”
Yunho felt Changmin tightening his hold. “We’ll go back tomorrow morning, and you’ll be back at work in the evening. I miss you already.” He said again with a muffled voice still not willing to let go.
Yunho made a happy laughter. “I know. I’ll miss you too, but hey, I only go to the hospital, you can always call me or you can come to the hospital to visit me. I won’t mind.” He said, stroking Changmin’s hair with his fingers.
“Hmm… I know, but I still miss you.”
“Oh…Minnie… Don’t you know that I love you so much?”
Changmin nodded, and Yunho smiled firmly. “Come on, let’s go back.”
“Can we take a walk for a little bit more?” Changmin requested.
Yunho thought for a while. He was sure that the storm would start anytime soon, but looking at Changmin’s slight pleading eyes, Yunho had no choice other than agreeing.
They were walking along the beach, taking a detour back to their villa while never once they let each other’s hand go. When they reached the villa, Yunho and Changmin crawled on the sofa in the living room, cuddling with Changmin’s head rested on Yunho’s chest. There’s no words sharing, only maintaining an affectionate touch while they let the silence took over their world, let them alone with their own thought.
“Yunho…”
“Hmm…”
“K-kiss me.”
Yunho blinked, eyebrows raised and stared to Changmin’s brown orbs deeply. It’s not usually that Changmin requested him something like that. Their kiss was usually initiated by Yunho or sometimes when Changmin felt like it, he’d have initiated it first without asking. But now, Yunho really didn’t know, this is the first time that Changmin asked him to actually kiss him. Not that he minds to kiss him, but it’s a little bit strange.
Changmin looked away when Yunho didn’t give him a response as embarrassment creeping to his face very soon. “I-“
Yunho smiled, he took Changmin’s chin and made him look to his eyes. He leaned down, capturing the boy’s lips in a slow and tentative kiss. He was going to pull back, but never got the chance as Changmin curled his arms around Yunho’s neck and deepened the kiss. In a short time, a simple kiss turned out to be a long make out session while Changmin straddled Yunho’s thigh and sat on his lap. When their kiss getting too intense and they both needed air to gasp, Yunho pulled away. It’s too hot for Yunho’s self restraint.
“Wait, Min, wait.” He panted a little bit.
An amused look plastered on Changmin’s face as he bit his red swollen lips. “Why? Did I make a mistake?” Changmin asked Yunho in an unsure manner, arms still safely on Yunho’s shoulder.
Yunho shook his head. “No, Min, but we must stop.”
“But why must we stop?” He asked again.
“God, you don’t know what you’re talking about Changmin.” Yunho looked away, can not bring himself to look straight to Changmin’s eyes because he knows those eyes very well, and he exactly aware what Changmin intended to do, what he needs Yunho to do and Yunho wasn’t ready to give him what he wanted. At least not now.
“But why?”
“Min, please understand. I can’t! Not now!” Yunho said desperately and then Changmin cupped his cheeks, settling Yunho’s eyes on his.
“Don’t you love me?”
“I love you, Min, don’t ever doubt about it.”
“Don’t you want me?”
Yunho let out a deep sigh at this question, pondering his decision whether to answer or not, letting Changmin waiting for his answer.
“God, Yunho! Please, look at me and tell me! Don’t you want me??”
Yunho then looked up to see those precious brown orbs emitting so much worries, uncertainty, and Yunho didn’t understand the reason. Didn’t he tell him that he loved him enough to give him his life? What else that the boy needed him to prove?
Of course Yunho wants him. He never wanted a person so much in his life like he wanted Changmin to be his. The one and only his. It was so damn much until he can’t even breathe when he knows he’s not there with him. But even though he wanted him, he can not just give in to the temptation and claim him. He still waited. Wait for Changmin to fully give him his trust, to fully accept Yunho’s love. He still remembered the time that he had to hold his desire very hard when he was aware that Changmin was too close to him, and he lost count on how many times he had to take a cold shower to calm his desperate longing and burning passion towards his lover. Oh yes, it’s not easy. It took a lot of self restraint on Yunho’s side.
“I want you, Changmin.” He said weakly, gave in completely when he watched Changmin insistent eyes. “Only God knows how much I want you to completely be mine, not just your heart, but your mind, your body, and your soul as well. I wanted to have all of you, without less but only more and more.”
“Then take me.” Changmin stated as he tightened his hold onto Yunho’s cheeks, pressing their forehead together.
“I can’t Changmin. You’re too young and innocent. I can’t take you just like that every time or every place I want to, not when I claimed that I love you and wants to cherish you as much as I could.”
“But I want you to take me, Yunho.” Changmin leaned in and kissed Yunho’s forehead. “I trust you, and I can make sure that you already have all of me. Just like you said, not only my heart and mind, but I wanted to give you my body and soul as well.” Then, he leaned down to give Yunho a short kiss on his lips. “This is my first time, and I want to give it to you, because it was you, and I want to be yours and yours only. I need you to claim me so that I will never be able to run away from you. I want you to bind me with your love, so that I will never love anybody else but you…”
Yunho looked deeply to Changmin’s eyes as his heart melted by only listening to what Changmin had said to him. He was surprised by the fact that Changmin wanted him just as much as he wanted Changmin, and Yunho really wanted to cherish this moment, writing this down on the page of his memory so that he will always reminded of their love. His heart began thumping so hard and intensely.
“Are you sure?” Yunho asked again, trying to figure out any hints of uncertainty beneath Changmin’s orbs.
Changmin smiled genuinely with his mismatched eyes, there’s no doubts in those. “Yes, I’m se-“ Changmin never got to finish his sentences since Yunho already swallowed it with a desperate kiss, feeling so much love just by touching Changmin’s lips with his own. He pushed Changmin lightly on the cushion, still kissing him without ever pulling away. He could feel the beating in Changmin’s heart, and it thumping with the same rhythm as his. He was nervous and Yunho smiled to this.
He then pulled away to look at Changmin’s sweet expression and it made him go crazy inside. He kissed his lover again before standing up and leaving a stunned Changmin who still lied down on the couch. But before Changmin could react, Yunho got one of his hands under Changmin’s knees and the other at Changmin’s back as he lifted him up in bridal style. Once Changmin had settled and spontaneously curled his arms around Yunho’s neck, Yunho kissed him again, leading their way to their bedroom, carefully not to bump into anything as they were too busy in kissing each other.
Yunho put Changmin down on the bed gently before joining him. He kissed him again and again, and Yunho thought that he will never get tired to kiss his lover. He pulled away for a moment as Changmin lets his eyes opened, meeting Yunho’s soft expression.
“Minnie, you could change your mind and we could stop this, “Yunho said as he swept Changmin’s bangs covering his forehead gently, “because once we start, there’s no going back and I will never let you go.”
The boy nodded. “No, please. I want this… I can handle it, Yunho-yah, please trust me… I trust you and I know that you’ll never hurt me.”
Yunho gave him another calming kiss as an assurance that everything will be doing fine, trying to show him how much he treasured him by treating him gently.
“Yunho…” Changmin whimpered as Yunho slipped his hand under his shirt, caressing the skin underneath with a series of tender touch.
He could feel that Changmin’s body tensed up, so he ran his hand to Changmin’s shoulder and massaged it lightly to relax him. “Shhh… Relax, love... Let me take care of you…” He leaned down again, trailing his lips down to Changmin’s neck, nibbling and sucking gently on his pulse point until it left a mark as he unbuttoning Changmin’s shirt, slowly exposing the boy’s hidden beauty from every fabric covering his body.
“You’re beautiful, Changmin.” Yunho said, admiring the sight in front of him as he watched Changmin’s caramel skin shimmering by the moonlight through their large window. It’s a beautiful sight that Yunho assured himself that he won’t be able to forget every single moment of this night.
Changmin tried to look away from Yunho as embarrassment took over him from being too exposed. Yunho giggled.
“D-Don’t laugh at me!” Changmin slapped his arms and Yunho watching that his cheeks turned more and more red.
He cleared his throat. “Hey… Don’t look away.” Yunho said and Changmin shook his head.
“No… You’re teasing me!” Now that famous pout was formed on Changmin’s mouth as he refused to look back at Yunho. He was so cute like that that Yunho couldn’t stand to kiss that tempting pout.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered, trailing a wet kiss along Changmin’s jaw, and Changmin shivered from the ministrations.
Changmin didn’t answer and Yunho kept moving on, giving Changmin’s body full of sweet and soft touches everywhere with his mouth only pulling away for taking his own clothes. He kissed down his neck, to the junction where his neck meets his shoulder, down to his chest (Changmin quivered when Yunho’s mouth teasing upon his sensitive area), lower down to his belly button, and Yunho was satisfied to hear Changmin made a delicious noises every time he teased his sensitive spots.
“Yu..Yunho..” Changmin gasped, realizing Yunho’s movement as Yunho sure that every motion that he created with his mouth or his hands were making Changmin crazy inside.
He smiled against Changmin’s skins. He kissed Changmin’s hips before he looked up to stare at Changmin’s face again as the urge to look at him was unbearable. Changmin had his eyes closed, panting slightly to fight the feeling over Yunho’s gentle touch on his skins.
“Changmin-ah, baby, please open your eyes…”
Slowly but sure, Changmin’s eyelids fluttering opened to meet Yunho’s smile.
“Listen to me, baby… I want you to keep your eyes on me and never let me go from your sight… I want you to see me, feel my touch and think only at me when I make love to you.....” Yunho smiled reassuringly. “I’m not going to hurt you and I want you to keep hold onto me… Submit to me and let me love you… You got that?”
Changmin nodded, unsure and afraid a little bit, but Yunho could see the faith Changmin had in him in his brown orbs, reflecting his believe towards the older man.
Yunho kissed Changmin’s forehead lightly before taking full concentration at preparing his lover for their later love making, carefully doing it while calming Changmin tensed body along the process.
Changmin was ready, Yunho could tell by the way he arched his back from the intrusion of his slick fingers in his tight passage and moaning uncontrollably as they moved in and out of him, stretching him well.
Yunho positioned himself between Changmin’s legs and then pushed in slowly, carefully steadying himself inside Changmin’s tight heat. He stopped for a while, giving his lover a chance to adjust.
“You okay?” Yunho asked in concern, brushing away the damp hair that was covering Changmin’s face with his finger, kissed it to distract his lover from the pain of being filled by Yunho.
His lover was panted and breathing erratically but nodded, signaling him that it is okay for him to move.
“Hold on, baby…”
He did it slowly and unhurried. Between their gasps and cries of pleasures, Yunho never once forgot that this was Changmin’s first time and tried as gentle as possible to not hurt him as he moved slowly in and out his lover’s body. This is what he dreamt of and what he desperately desired; that it is to be able to hold Changmin just like this, to submit his love fully to him so the power of his love would replace the empty space in Changmin’s heart of being unable to love and to be loved in his time before they met. Even though it was how he felt, Yunho never wanted to rush anything. He just wanted this to be perfect, to last forever until neither Yunho nor Changmin could ever forget this first time. As they were sharing the same air from their kiss, Yunho whispered to Changmin over and over again in between. Wiping Changmin’s tears away from the pain that he felt and reassuring his lover that he loves him through every moan of pleasure and overflowing warmth that they felt from every brush of their skins. And nothing is to be compared with this feeling Yunho had when their hearts and bodies were finally united as one through the magic of their love making.
Yunho was right, it was storming that night. It was so powerful. It was growling in rage and sweeping away everything staying in its way, the sea waves hitting the coast with a great power as the lightning bolt struck and ruled over the sky. But Yunho and Changmin caught up on their world of love, trapped between the warmth that was wrapping around them through every touch of skin.
Yunho kept maintaining a steady pace as he rocked their bodies together into a euphoric bliss of the upcoming orgasm as he felt Changmin clenching him tightly and moaning innocently as he was uncertain of what was coming.
“Yun…I-I…” Yunho watched Changmin shut his eyes, biting his lips until it turned pale white while clutching the sheets tightly with his hands.
“Shh... Don’t hold it. Let it go, baby, nothing bad will happen… Let it go.” Yunho whispered with husky voice while giving Changmin a kiss to distract him, hoarsely groaned when the heat became unbearable for him to handle and he knew that he was not gonna last any longer.
They came in a rush, Changmin first and Yunho following a moment later. Their names were screamed over and over like a spell upon the top of the pleasure that was surely taking their mind, bringing them down to a never ending bliss into the abyss of heaven.
Yunho pulled away, and he could feel Changmin shivering from the loss as he rolled himself on his back beside Changmin.
“Changmin?” Yunho heard a soft sob coming from Changmin and he was now covering his eyes with both of his hands. Yunho felt panic rushing through his body after noticing this.
“Min, what’s wrong? Did I hurt you?” Yunho pried Changmin hands opened to look at him, but the boy was shut his eyes. “Min, please, look at me! Please tell me what’s wrong?” Yunho asked again. He didn’t know what to do.
“N-no… It’s not because of you.” Changmin stammered in his cry.
“So why are you crying?” Yunho caressed his cheeks, kissing the salty liquid away from any surface of Changmin’s face, a bit relief of the acknowledgement.
“I-I don’t know… I can’t help it. I-I felt so full and happy… and complete… God, Yunho… what happened to me?”
Yunho smiles assuredly. “There’s nothing wrong with you, baby… It’s normal. It was love that you felt, anything else…”
