[ whatever it is moves a bit more, and Yako jumps sideways with a yelp of pain before glowering down at her midsection and looking back over her shoulder.

why'd she grab it? complicated stupidity. here was something she had the power to save, and so she had.

...it's while staring up at the lowest tree branch that she re-evaluates that "power to save" theory she indulged in. ]

[ She's surprised, because she didn't actively realize that the sphere was on the network, and not just being used for whatever she'd been doing before. ]

I could, but the branch would still be that tall, and I'd still be this awkward.

[ and she's back to looking at - are they coyotes? or wolves? OR A PACK OF BEARS? Either way, it doesn't matter - through various shenanigans, Yako gets a hold of the branch and walks herself up as far as she can before trying to hook her legs over the same branch.

In all likelihood, it's going to break, and leave her back on the ground. Oh well. ]

[ He's out in the dome, and doesn't quite get why she's wary of a bunch of wolves - three or four - who are sort of just... wandering away now. ]

They're not all that aggressive.

They were more interested when it was bleeding on the snow.

[ if the sight of Yako doing an awkward failing jump for the low branches of a tree - of the times she falls, or when she eventually manages to clambor up the tree with the cub still hidden in her jacket. it looks painful, altogether, which means it's probably fairly amusing. Her conversation with Axel is part of it -

and she manages to not catch sight of your face on the screen until she's well settled in.

No I don't. This was an acci-AH-dent! [ she sticks a hand into her coat and tries to get the squirming bundle to lie still. Great, so Neuro wanted to play, and Yako was apparently doing her best to freeze. She sighed. ]

Besides, the bear would eat more than I do.
