That's a really awesome dino. Where did you get him? I have a friend who would be very interested in having one, I'm sure.

a five and dime in north conway, new hampshire. i didn't see any others like him, although i might have missed some. he's made by the manhattan toy company, but his tag says (C)1992. so even though it's highly unlikely, i've been imagining him laying in the store for over a decade being laughed at and rejected until i finally fell in love with him and saved him.

You know, it seems unlikely, but you might actually be right. If you look at the manhattan toy company's current line of dinosaurs, they're completely different.

But! Check this out. I think I was able to locate his brother on eBay! But then I found this, and decided that I might just make my own dinosaurs. You should get save his brother while you can.

neat. that definitely is his BIG brother. stumpy is only five inches tall and eight inches long.

i don't think i want to spend that much money, but thanks for that link (and the others too)!

As a point of interest, I have the red one in the series (an Edaphosaurus). I call him Edwin (duh). FYI: the series was discontinued about 10 yrs ago. The only other time I've seen a MTC Dino is here:

yes! i love his expression too... i think it's what pushed me over the edge to actual crying. i only looked at him from the side first and that alone filled me with delighted laughter... but oh when i turned him to face me!
