Not A Happy Camper

Why? Because the customs business isn't going so well...b-but, we love your customs! I'm sure you do, I love them too. I'd love it more if these customs hadn't had to become a second income for me due to my job lacking in hours. I only raised prices a little bit because things are tough for me right now and I'm just sick of all the gripe I've ( Read more... )

Yeaaa... :C That sucks you're getting people being picky and hassling you and stuff. ;; Your customs are amazing and I think they are worth every cent you charge! I remember even looking over the wailmer you made for me and thinking about how I would never be able to even figure that out, and I'm sure he is nothing compared to the more complicated designs! D:

I know it takes a while for me to make the plush that I do, but somehow I think those are still easier than making crochet ones. ;;

It's never pretty...I had one person that kept reply that they didn't have the money for a quote they'd asked for and then they'd proceeded to get rude about not having the money. I was like wtf?! I only said the truth and if you don't have the money, don't tell me over and over like 5 times =>A<;=

Your wailmer was was like a god send for easy patterns compared to some of the others, but he was still really fun and just as important as any other order I'd received.

Yeah, your prices are totally insane- insanely cheap!
I would LOVE to see these people pull off a crocheted plush! Hah!
I can barely wrap my mind around how amazing and complex it must be to create these beautiful pieces. I can personally attest to the fact that your work is worth every cent, if not more. <3

A lot of people think I should charge more, but I really can't bring myself to raise it more than I have. I want these plush to be affordable for collectors, so I say to myself as a collector, what's in my budget for this particular pokemon so that I come up with a fair enough price that makes the plush worth my time and the customer's time. I put a lot of thought into the plush and try many stitch combinations to get the results I like.

This last slot of commissions, I finally feel comfortable with my work that I can start writing down patterns. [not that anyone else but me can read them, but that's all that matters is that I can read them XDD ] Most of my patterns don't take up more than a 4" x 3" piece of paper. So it's just a tiny thing lol.

I think some people just don't realize how much time and effort goes into making plush. When I was younger I thought custom plush prices were "unreasonable" because I compared them to official plush prices. But once you take into account the cost of materials, the plush maker's time, and the fact that the plush is usually one of a kind, $20-$30 really is a bargain. Even $60-$70 is a good price, when you consider that it's less than minimum wage in most countries.

YOU TELL 'EM GIRL!
People have to stop being so cheap and actually think about things a bit more. Your prices are great! When I look at my Caterpie, I know I'd NEVER manage to pull that off like that. And yet you manage to make those plushes so well and in such little time.
Your prices are more than reasonable, they're great! If anyone tries to bargain with you again, you just call me and I'll give a speech about how awesome your plushes are and they better stop being so cheap. ò.Ó
