Your reflections seem to suggest you have left the murky woods in the marshy valleys and are now looking down on them from the hill top. Not the same person, but feeling better somehow.
Like I said via AIM the other day on a related subject:
Just because he isn't here this year doesn't mean you can't celebrate for all the years that he was. It's Father's Day and he's still your father and there's nothing wrong in acknowledging that in whatever manner you feel best.
