Yeah, it does seem like the kind of roles he tends to get casted in. But I'm definitely glad they didn't go the pretty boy/girl actor route for this movie.

I know but this guy also tends to choose interesting roles really different between each movie he is in. Totally since it's stated in the book that Watanabe is a regular looking guy and not a hunk which his friend at college is supposely to be.

Ikr. I hope they do the book justice!

The 1st ep of Mother was so gorgeous and got me instantly hooked. I didn't give a background check for this drama nor was I aware of the storyline so I wasn't even expecting it to be emotionally wearing but I guess I could say I was pleasantly surprised. :) You should definitely pick it up again yes.

Norwegian Wood is next on my Murakami list,(which I'll get to after a few other titles) and I had no idea there'll be a movie of it! Do you know if they've turned any other Murakami novels into films?

BTW, how have u been?

You definitely should get to it! Are you reading his books like in order they came out? Reading Murakami novels in a row wore me out slightly. Heh. I don't' know if you've read his short stories (I kinda prefer them to his novels actually) but Tony Takitani was made into a movie as well! I personally think it was a well-made movie. :)

I am doing good actually! I've finally graduated and am possibly gonna get a job teaching in a secondary school next month. Hopefully all goes well with that. How are you doing? You haven't updated in a while too!

p.s. Have you seen K8's new Prologue of Pacchi series?? They're so gorgeous and brilliant omg.

No, not reading them in any particular order. After finishing South of the Border, I took a breather from Murakami for a while. But Norwegian Wood is next on my list. And I've never been big on short stories, but I can make an exception for Murakami. Ah, Tony Takitani. I'll definitely check that one out. Thanks.

Teaching? That's great! I've been keeping up with friends and communities on LJ, but I just never feel like updating anymore. But I am doing good. It's been work, work, work ever since my vacation in Hawaii.

Yes, I have seen Prologue of Patch. I love it. I can't wait for more! These guys keep surprising me.
