Round 120
Maybe, someday, things will go back to their regular schedules and stuff will actually get posted on time around here. Maybe not. But yeah ... today is not that day. ;) I meant to put this up during my coffee break this afternoon, but I really should have figured out by now that I absolutely can't rely on getting non-work stuff done at work, especially on a Monday. (As a matter of fact I didn't even get my coffee break because we were so busy, which made me somewhat of a sad panda. Heh.) Anyway, here we go again. A challenge being put up on Monday with an extended deadline to compensate, and I WILL get winners up on time this week if it kills me, darn it. :P Yay and suchlike.
This theme was partially inspired by my current icon and partially by another strong female character in a different fandom - Padmé Amidala, from Star Wars. As you might be able to gather from my username, I rather adore her. ;) And I thought, wouldn't it be awesome if icons were created featuring both Kara and a female character from another fandom that the icon-maker happens to love? I've seen this done at general icon challenge comms combining fandoms, but I'm not sure I've seen it with characters before, so it would be really cool to do it here. :D
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is basically thus: make an icon featuring both Kara Thrace AND a female character from another fandom whom you adore. So for example, if I were to enter this challenge, I'd probably make icons with Padmé and Kara. My friend Katie would probably go more for Kara and Leia, because Katie is an Original Trilogy girl. ;) But you might be into Buffy, or Veronica Mars, or Sarah Connor, or Ellen Ripley, or Hermione Granger, or whoever! Movie or TV program or book, it doesn't matter, so long as both Kara and another female character appear on your icon(s). I've provided some sample caps of Kara, as well as additional resources for BSG caps, but finding pics from your other fandom will obviously be up to you since there isn't really a way for me to dig up pictures of every conceivable female character out there. ;) Daydreaming.net, which I link to below, is a good overall resource site since it also has other fandoms.
