Ugh, you are reminding me of some grim scenes with two of my very bonnie characters, Shireen and Sansa. I know and love Sansa better and I'm still astounded she had as much agency as she did after the wedding night. Maybe being engaged to Joffrey toughened her? But she wasn't as broken as I thought she might be. In my opinion, even a single night with Ramsay is one night too long. I don't think I could have borne a single night without killing him or myself and I'm a woman grown. Sansa is fourteen years old.

I agree that she is better for the role than Jeyne Poole and once she's at Winterfell it's practically a done deal right there. But rape, changes the trajectory of a woman's life. Forever. She can recover, of course. I mean look at Dany and she was the same age when she married. But then look at what happened at the end of that marriage. Oh. My. God. Sansa could now be impregnated by that sadist! Can you even imagine?

I'm going to stop thinking about this right now!

Sansa was incredibly strong after the wedding night. I was disappointed that Theon got to do more than she did despite that strength.

I don't think they'd go as dark as Sansa being pregnant, but I guess we'll know in about six weeks. It's really weird, having known roughly what would happen in prior seasons because I've read the books, whereas this year I'm going in blind on basically everything but one storyline.
