For gay marriage to be so threatening to so many people, bisexuality must be far more common than people are willing to admit. Strong taboos exist to repress equally strong desires.

I don't think it's just about losing the election with the Dems. I think it's about similar prejudice and bigotry. As far as I see it the underlying source of this common prejudice is organized religion.

In Georgia this commonality is *painfully* evident. You should see how some of the Georgia democrats are behaving. It's incredibly enlightening.

For some Democrats, it is prejudice, definitely. For other Democrats, it is pragmatism. Here in DC the gay elected officials won't push for gay marriage because they feel the time isn't right.
