[ This is what catches Peter's attention, as he walks past a restaurant in Hisato, on his way to the market. He had decided to make the trek from Yomisato after not being able to find reasonably priced fruit and vegetables in Yomisato's, which isn't all too surprising given that Yomisato is pretty much a desert city, and not much can grow in the desert. In the short time that he had been away from Hisato -- mere days, really -- it seems as though tensions have been escalating to an extremely uncomfortable point. After enduring one too many angry stares, Peter had decided enough was enough, and made himself invisible.
It's easier to walk through a city that thinks you're evil if they can't see you.
The angry shout isn't something one hears a lot in Hisato, and Peter turns just in time to see a boy being literally thrown out of the restaurant, landing heavily on his rear in the dirt. ]
We don't need your kind in our world. Don't think for a moment you deserve to eat our food

[Of course, these locals are only human - Goku could overpower them if he had the heart to, but it's not in him to do it. He's not the sort to break someone's head open just because they happen to be jerks. He does kick up a fuss though, and a shove out the door becomes more like a hurl, as the waiters retaliate by upping their aggression. He's tossed like a sack of potatoes and he lands on his ass several feet into the dusty street

[ Peter flashes him a bit of a smile, letting go of the kid's hand. ]
Yeah, we talked once.
[ Struggles to remember the name. What the hell was it? Aw shit, he should've just not tried to remember at all. Peter's smile turns a bit awkward now as he rubs a little at the back of his neck. ]
It was a while ago, when I first got here. In the middle of that crazy week.
[ And then he extends his hand for a proper handshake. ]
I'm Peter Petrelli.
[ Well, that's definitely a way of getting around not remembering his name. ]
Oh, yeah! [That week was filled with a lot of frenzy - not to mention Hakkai disappearing - so it's not too weird to have forgotten his name. But he does remember his face; he's good with faces. He smiles brightly at him in recognition.]
I'm Goku! Uh, Son Goku. [Since they seem to be using full names here, he throws his own out there too. There's a brief moment of hesitation as he blinks at the extended hand, as it's not a gesture he sees everyday back in Shangri-la. But he does know what it is, and so he reaches out with his own hand.]
Oh. [As though he remembers just then, he quickly withdraws his hand and wipes the back of it on his cloak to clean off the spit. He sheepishly extends his hand again to shake Peter's.]

[ Peter eyes that hand for a moment, but then takes it anyway (kid doesn't know better, he's just a kid, right?) and shakes it, mentally reminding himself that he's going to need to wash his hands later, then lets go as he nods at the restaurant behind him. The one that had just thrown him out on his ass. ]
