Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know I'm wayyy behind lately when it comes to the election. Been so busy this week I've barely had a chance to breath. But hey, better late then never right?

So I FINALLY sat down and watched the debate in full on YouTube today.... Wow. Just...WOW!! The sexual tension between Obama and McCain was so thick you'd be lucky to ( Read more... )

Probably. Then again pitbulls go for the throat! LOL Palin may surprise us. I honestly think this debate is gonna be far more interesting than the one between Obama/McCain. Those two reigned it in. Both Sarah and Joe strike me as having nasty tempers.

Yeah, they do. It's really going to depend on how much the moderator works to keep Palin on point, if the analyses I've read of her gubernatorial debates is at all accurate.

Meanwhile, someone better have a censor moderating Joe's mouth. Lord knows the man has been know to use it inappropriately. I still don't get why Obama would pick a VP known to rub America the wrong way. Both VPs are about equal in the public opinion department. I don't think the public likes either of them.

What's fascinating is how much more we're focused on these two. Someone on another forum said they think it's because everyone assumes McCain will die in office and/or Obama will be assassinated if he becomes the first black President (or half-black, at any rate). So we're all looking at the VPs more critically because one of them could very well become the next President of the United States. I didn't want to believe it at first but now I think that description is pretty accurate. I don't recall people caring this much about past VPs.

Eh. I don't think we'd be paying that much attention to the Veeps if McCain had picked a Random White Dude.

True, but Obama picked a Random White Dude and look at the backlash that caused. (Especially from Hilary supporters.) You don't talk about "change" then pick a guy who's the Democratic equivalent of your rival (similar in age, looks, experience, etc) that's known to rub the people the wrong way. He had to be aware that was going to cause commentary. Sooo McCain picked Palin to even out his odds. They're both guilty of pandering to voters with their VP picks. I don't think either candidate chose the best possible VP for the job ( ... )

Yeah, people are mostly assholes, but that's always true.

I was under the impression that HRC didn't want the veep pick. Biden does play to some of Obama's weaknesses, even if he is a bit of a prickly ass, but, yeah, there's issues there.

I'm not sure if HRC wanted the veep pick or not. She WAS making public appearances with Obama trying to swing her potential voters to his side so everyone assumed she'd be his choice ( ... )

You see, I love Michelle Obama and don't see that at all (crazy eyes/jealous). I think it's far more likely that HRC just didn't want the veep pick, that she wanted to go all the way or not at all. But that's me.

It may be because Michelle reminds me of this psycho chick I use to go to school with named Roquita. Very similar eyes and bone structure. Roquita hardcore, man! She rammed her car into a teacher's car because he gave her an F. He was sitting in the car at the time when she did it too. Crazy eyes! MEEP! LOL

I think Hil would've been open to a VP nom but I dunno. I'm also of the mind that she was robbed during the primaries so *shrugs*. IMO she's the one candidate that really deserved to go all the way. (Palin is a slap in the face for her, no doubt!) Something tells me we wouldn't have seen this level of intensity if Hil was headlining the ticket. I doubt most voters would've had a problem voting for her over McCain.
