Thanks! Yes, Mr. Bill got me some graduated (I think that's what they're called) papers for my birthday, and I'd been kind of wondering what to do with them. Tried a few wheat ears with them and realized they'd make pretty flower petals.

I'm using a little fine-tipped applicator (also from my birthday) to put the glue on the strip and then stick the strip to the card. What's bugging me is how this tends to result in lots of glue scraping off on the card before I can get the strip secured where I want it, so I have little patches of dried glue everywhere when I'm done. Not a huge deal, since it dries clear, but it bothers the German part of me that wants everything perfect.

The flowers are gorgeous and I love the second tree as well.

For some reason, it's hard to get quilling stuff at stores. *pouts* So if you wanna try this stuff out, I'd recommend quilling.com or one of the other sites out there. The nice thing about this craft is how cheap it is to get started: a slotted tool, glue, and some paper strips are all you really need to get going.

WOW. These are much more intricate and artful than the ones you've posted before. Really really beautiful. I had a pang of wanting to try this, but I squashed it thoroughly before it tried to kill me.

Thanks! With the ones I posted before, I was working with the really cheap, really inflexible paper strips, so it was hard to make anything intricate. But I got quilling strips from two different people for my birthday in February, so I've had lots more nice stuff to work with. Plus, I've had some practice, now, so I'm getting better at making them pretty.
