I am back. I am only slightly jet-lagged. America was amazing. I ate far too much. It snowed. The buildings were very tall. American drivers are terrifying. I love ice-hockey. I have much tacky 'I Heart NY' merchandise. Nothing untoward happened (apart from having to take Jenny to ER for getting acid on her tongue, but that was just hilarious).

Yay! I am glad you are back and liked it! :) I look forward to hearing what's absolutely ridiculous about us, haha.

My mian observations is that everything is so BIG. Big buildings, big cars, big advertising, big meals. No wonder Americans think England is 'quaint'.

Haha, yeah? I've heard that is the case, but it confirms it for me to hear it first hand. I see that Hershey's bottle proves it, haha. Do you like Hershey's chocolate by the way?? Simon thinks it's trash. :o

Hershey's is certainly ... odd. I mean, I can eat it, but Cadbury's beats it hands down. And quite a few people on the trip did say that it was disgusting! It has this really weird non-melting feeling.

I'm really looking forward to the explanation behind that sentence. :D

Oh, yes, and I look forward to telling it. It turns out that Jenny can get herself into bizarre and troublesome (but extremely amusing) situations whatever continent she's on.

Hooray! I’m so glad you had fun!

… I have never seen a Hershey’s bottle that big. Wow.

Everything in America seemed to be big. Especialy the food. I've never eaten so much in one week in my life.

Somehow I missed this completely. America is amazing, in that it is giant and over-sized.

I know - it made me feel so small. As I said to Penny upon walking into Times Square - "This is the first time that I've felt this much awe for something man-made." And the feeling continued all week.

Hello! **jumps on her Kate** I. Want. All. The. Details. **nods** It sounds like your trip was utterly amazing (the sentence about Jenny's tongue does intruige me muchly, **laughs in a nervous 'should I actually laugh?' sort of way**).

Oh and that is one huge bottle pf hersheys syrup.

Oh, it's an incredibly amusing story. Well, at the time, it was also rather worrying, but I was still giggling behind my hand. *looks smug at being criptic*

I did consider bringing the bottle back with me (and like, keeping gin in it, or something), but I had enough trouble closing my suitcase as it was.
