I definitely agree about the music! Whenever the Eleven theme swells I go "Oooh yay music! Wait. What did they just say?"

I am *loving* the music in this series. The first time I heard the new theme song, I was like, "What is *that*?" but now I've found it's really grown in me. I find it very appropriate for Eleven, somehow.

Yeah, me too! It's defnitely grown on me. Like a fungus. Seriously thought, I really like it! I find myself humming it at odd times. Like the Mission Impossible theme or something.

That vid is awesome -- laughed my ass off at the songs and the Eccleston cutaways. Also, Martha was a bloody good companion and I need to own season 3.

The theme tune to the new series does combine fun and foreboding fairly well but as a rendition of the Doctor Who theme I do think it's terrible. Gold has added all these little flourishes over the last 5 years and I thought they were getting a bit much by season 4, but now it's all his garnish and the main meat of the 4-beat and even the oooh-wee-oooh is barely discernible. I'd rather have The Colin Baker's unique theme, from the Trial Of A Time Lord season...

Yay! I'm so glad you liked the vid. Yeah, I was giggling like a mad thing. And Nine's face. Hilarious! Martha rocks! S3 is in many ways my favorite so far. Maybe. It's hard to pick. But I do love it so.

I do like the theme tune, but Eleven's theme is what really does it for me! Seriously, I'm humming it constantly. I was just comparing it to Ten's theme which is so melancholy and eerie...

I did think you were probably referring to the Leitmotif rather than the title theme tune, but any chance I can take to show my disdain ( ... )

Oh damn, I was just hit with a wave of woe. I think I'm coping well all things considered but I MISS THEM. *sniff*

*thinks of All The Strange Strange Creatures* Yeah, you're right! Hilarious. As I mentioned before it also reminds me a bit of Jack's leitmotif too, you know Here He Comes On A Ruddy Great Tractor.
